Comments about a deletion[edit]

In reference to your comments to Davewild about the deletion of Rachel Reynolds, you may like to consider the following two suggestions.

  1. Davewild deleted the article not on the basis of any opinion of his own about the merits of the article, but acting in his capacity as an administrator, assessing consensus at the deletion discussion. Since 100% of the participants in that discussion were in favour of deletion, the only way that any administrator could have closed the discussion as anything other than "delete" would have been to make a biassed decision, imposing his or her personal view over the clear consensus in the discussion. That would have been a gross abuse of administrative power.
  2. If you disagree with another editor about something he or she has done, your points are more likely to be taken notice of if you come across as expressing polite and friendly disagreement than if you come across as making an angry attack on that editor.
