Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Paul's Pastry Shop requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TheWeakWilled (T * G) 22:03, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Paul's Pastry Shop, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Paul's Pastry Shop. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Accounting4Taste:talk 18:20, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I suggested yesterday that you might be called upon to defend this article's continued presence; apparently it is now time for you to do that. Believe it or not, you can actually call upon me for assistance if you require it; I will point out that arguments for retention that are not based on Wikipedia policy are unlikely to be of much use. I wanted to alert you to the fact that leaving messages on the talk page of Paul's Pastry Shop will not have any effect -- you need to be repeating those comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Paul's Pastry Shop, which is where the crucial discussion will be taking place. Similarly, this discussion is now past the stage where a "hangon" tag will be useful; I will take the liberty of removing it since it will have no effect upon the process and actually causes extra work for administrators who will be called there by its presence. Please, as I said, feel free to call upon me if you need any part of this explained. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:18, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
