crazy TeX code[edit]

Please. Tell me what would possess someone to write something like

{{F}_{\lambda }}\left( n \right)=

where one could write:

F_\lambda (n)

The TeX code in the recent article you've created looks like something created by an utter lunatic. All the instances of multiple nesting of curly braces that serve no purpose; all the multiple instances of "matrix" and "align" where "cases" is appropriate; all the instances of nested "matrix" environments where there are no matrices or other arrays. Michael Hardy thank you for telling me about this, the utter lunatic in this case is MathType OSX and the way it converts and copies the formula into a wikipedia compatible format. The subject of this article on mathematics is not notable. The mathematical content of the article consists in results that are trivial consequences of known theories, typically that of linear recurrences. When these known theories are cited in the article, this results always of my edits. Instead of referring to knowns theories, the article cites only non-notable publications that, for most of them, are not reliably published. The part of the article devoted to phylotaxis is a blatent WP:fringe theory and I suspect that it is also pseudo science. See the talk page for more details
