Speedy deletion of Alois Langer[edit]

A tag has been placed on Alois Langer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome and info on your page[edit]

Hello, Vishnu2011, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question.

I noticed you've created a page with no content at Alois Langer, technically pages like these are eligible for deletion under speedy delete criterion A7 - no content. Could I suggest that in future if you want to start pages in this way to start them on a user subpage. This can be done easily following the guide at Wikipedia:User page#How do I create a user subpage? basically you create a page with "User:Vishnu2011/" in front of the intended title (For example in this instance you could start with User:Vishnu2011/Alois Langer. Building articles up to the minimum stub level in this way could help prevent premature deletion and the pages can then easily be moved to mainspace using the move tab at the top of the page.

I hope you find editing Wikipedia to be an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Happy editing, Guest9999 (talk) 18:25, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed your usage of {{db-spam}} here. Please review WP:CSD so that accidents like this don't occur often. Thank for you doing new page patrol though, and keep up the good work. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 03:23, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting Vandalism[edit]

Hi Vishnu! Glad to see you’ve joined the recent changes patrollers and are reverting vandalism. I just wanted to let you know that reverting the vandalism is only half the job. The other thing you need to do when you revert is to go to the offending editor’s talk page and apply the appropriate warning template. These can be found at WP:UTM. Thanks! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. — SpikeToronto 00:33, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal fighting[edit]

Keep up the good work! Once you've made enough edits combating vandalism, consider applying for rollback, it'll make it much easier. Huggle is an excellent vandalism fighting tool, but is only available to rollbackers. Happy editing & cya around Wikipedia! Netalarmtalk 06:03, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request[edit]

Hello Vishnu2011, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 20:58, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please be more careful[edit]

Here you reverted a page back to a vandalized state, and then warned the person who had corrected it. Please be more careful with your rollback tool. Tan | 39 15:08, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hartlepool United FC[edit]

Hi Vishnu, I'am afriad that when you reverted one set of edits to the last edit by me (Darigan)on the hartlepool United FC page, there was already one pre-existing vandal edit from 195.172.86.2 (my fault, forgot how to roll-back and i only undid the most recent edit). Also, what can be done about the situation currently being experienced by the Hartlepoole FC page? Cheers Darigan (talk) 14:02, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Noticed that, and I fixed it. That IP is bothersome, I will give him one more warning and if he doesn't stop I'll report him to WP:AIV. Thanks for your help! --Vishnu2011 (talk) 14:04, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He has been reported --Vishnu2011 (talk) 14:07, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've just taken a look at WP:AIV link that you dropped into your message, hopefully i can use it properly to be of a bit more help in the future. Cheers Vishnu, Best Darigan (talk) 14:13, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your doing a great job so far. Just remember, before resorting to WP:AIV, you need to give the user 4 warnings. As a wise person told me before, reverting is only half the battle, the other half is letting the vandal know with warnings. You can read the section here on "How to Respond to Simple Vandalism". --Vishnu2011 (talk) 14:17, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, not wishing to be rude, but it would be extremely helpful if you cold use the edit summary when making changes to this article since things are changing so quickly as news comes out and the events unfold. Many thanks, HJMitchell You rang? 19:34, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yea sorry, I usually do, but this adding full reference to bottom rather than inline, which I have never done before, used up all my brain power and I totally forgot lol. --Vishnu2011 (talk) 19:37, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not surprised! It's not easy with all the edit conflicts etc. HJMitchell You rang? 00:42, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, great job finding that source to explain the sudden jump from 30 to 38. I'm glad we got that one cleared up. HJMitchell You rang? 01:38, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :). The real congrats should go to you, your doing an amazing job keeping the article up to date, clean and accurate! --Vishnu2011 (talk) 02:14, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Vishnu2011,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
