A tag has been placed on BioSlimDisk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Moogwrench (talk) 04:21, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

user space draft of BioSlimDisk[edit]

No one has tagged this for deletion. I removed the "hangon" tag, since that also puts the page into the deletion category. The userspace draft notice should be sufficient to avoid speedy deletion. Or you might consider the article incubator.

You should read the notability for corporations guideline. You should also read our advertising guideline, and the conflict of interest guideline. These are likely to be relevant when you want to move the draft back to article space. DES (talk) 18:27, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:SingatureLite.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:SingatureLite.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 06:15, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I have deleted this image as it is clearly a version of the copyrighted image http://www.24-7pressrelease.com/attachments/126975/signature_lite_product.jpg. You can only mark images as "self-made" if you took the original image, not if you edited an image you got from elsewhere - Peripitus (Talk) 06:38, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated image recreations[edit]

Hi Vernonheng, you keep on uploading these images and they keep on getting deleted. Please note that we only accept three types of images here.

  • images created by the uploaders that they released under a Free content licence.
  • images created by someone else who has released it under a free content licence, or that is in the public domain due to age or some other reason.
  • images that meet the strict non-free content criteria and conform to the non-free content guideline.
Licences such as you have used, saying that the image can only be used on Wikipedia, are not accepted and the images are swiftly deleted. Please note that as these are commercial images, if you upload using a free licence, you will need to get the copyright holder (or delegate) to follow the process at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries - Peripitus (Talk) 09:35, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More copyright issues[edit]

You have been copying text directly from other websites. Where there is no evidence that the material is free to copy we presume copyright and any such material is immediately removed. You also cannot just change a few words (close paraphrase). Please do not do this again. Dougweller (talk) 17:12, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

If you are involved with this product in any way you probably should not be directly editing the article, but making comments on its talk page. Please see WP:COI. Dougweller (talk) 17:12, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Idea1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Idea1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:30, 31 January 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Guy M | Talk  17:30, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

February 2010[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to BioSlimDisk, you will be blocked from editing. As I explained earlier, you have a conflict of interest and should not be making these major edits . Please read WP:COI. Dougweller (talk) 06:45, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to BioSlimDisk, you will be blocked from editing. Ironholds (talk) 11:36, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is your final warning. Stop repeatedly adding the same text to BioSlimDisk, or you will be blocked from editing. We are not simply going to go away; if your intent was to wait 24 hours and hope we've left, that's not going to happen. I've put the article on my watchlist; whenever it is edited, I get notified. I'm sure Dougweller and other users have as well. Ironholds (talk) 07:13, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also added to my watchlist. As he said, we don't just go away.  Guy M | Talk  19:48, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked for a period of Indefinite - that is, until the editor agrees to abide by our guideline on conflict of interest at WP:COI from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of our conflict of interest policy and notability guidelines. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. File permission problem with File:RitechBSDLogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:RitechBSDLogo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 06:05, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I would like to appeal for my blocked edit of my page. I am writing up and improving my article. I dont quite know why u keep deleting my article as it is in my own words, where can i reference or cite if it was my own words? Besides that it is not really an advertising article, it is just knowledge of this unique product. It is education purposes, please give me some time to improve it and not just deleting it straight away. Why must you delete the pictures as well? I have permission from the boss of the company, do you need to talk to him? Please reply me as soon as possible, thanks

Decline reason:

First, massive conflict of interest, second, ownership issues of an article, third apparanent lack of understanding that the product is not notable. There is no such thing as "my article" - it is Wikipedia's article. I don't care that the boss wants Wikipedia spammed, it needs to be protected from that exact activity. This is apparently a response to my reply to an email I received from him, in which I told him "If you add {{unblock}} to your talk page and agree not to follow our COI policy, which basically means using the talk page (and the {{Request edit}} tag), someone, possibly me, will unblock you."
I won't oppose an unblock but I won't unblock myself as he isn't agreeing to abide by our COI guidelines. I'm also removed the 'request edit' tag that I told him to use on the article talk page, as you can see in my reply. Dougweller (talk) 08:42, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am not working for this company, I am just a profession in Biometrics Technology and I find their product introducts interesting. I have asked permission from the boss of the company to use their images and product descriptions. Please do give me a chance to reedit it and i will comply to the COI policy. I will change it and not make it promotional. Thanks for your efforts, as i am still learning to use Wikipedia's function as it is complicated and not easy to use. Please give me more time, thank you

Decline reason:

Really? Permit me to be a bit skeptical; the BioSlimDisk is a product of RiTech International, and it's easy enough to discover that Vernon Heng is listed on LinkedIn as Business Development Manager of RiTech. Is this inaccurate? --jpgordon::==( o ) 17:52, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am really sorry and i did not mean to make it such a advertising article. I did not understand most parts of the Wikipedia process as I am very new to it. I did not even understand mytalk page until recently when my article kept being deleted. I am really sorry to keep puting up my article and should have read and modified it carefully. Please give me a last chance to improve it. I will never use advertising words again. Please consider my unblocking, thank you very much

Decline reason:

Given the discussion below, it doesn't look like you're willing to avoid writing about RiTech, so an unblock wouldn't be appropriate at this time. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:02, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will include Ritech's background and also 2 other interesting products called Signature Lite and iDea Matrix. I will not promote any of it but i would just like to write on their functionality. I would also like to upload some images as i have permission from their manager. That is all. I see IronKey, they write about themselves as well. So why you being bias?

Hi, could you remove the bioslimdisk page? it looks ugly, please remove it if possible thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Vernonheng/new article name here, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on BioSlimDisk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Orphaned non-free image File:RitechBSDLogo.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:RitechBSDLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
