User:RHaworth Sir, Thanks for your help.Veltkamp 00:14, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like to make a point as to why I'm opposed to the article and I have made references to it being an advert (Although I'm sure you going to blow me away with some complex answer!). Its the trademark (TM) signs splashed across the article! Every time NeSSI is mentioned you get the trademark sign. You can't expect this to get onto wikipedia as wikipedia is released free from copyright so could be published anywhere, but this seams not to be the case with NeSSI. I also think it needs to be made simpler to the average reader. It should be put forward in a much easier to read way and should probably be a lot shorter. Let me know if you want me to eplain any of my comments RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 22:33, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well what you have said on my talkpage seams to suggest you understand my objections. I seriously think that the tm's need to be removed. I've never seen then on another page e.g.Pepsi. It can be mentioned in the article that the name has been trade marked. Just to let you know that thepage might be deleted by the time you get back (depending on the result of the Afd), so I'll copy it into my userpage so you can work on editing it there. The link to it will be User:Ryanpostlethwaite/NeSSI and get anyone you want to help you with it. I can keep an eye on it from there and make some suggestions on how you could improve it to make it into an entry. Does that seam ok?

NeSSI (2)[edit]

Hey, I just thought the way the Afd was going the article may have been deleted, thats why I put a copy in my userpage so you could still have a copy, but it was kept so I guess thats good news! With regards to the 1st question about the picture, you will need to reupload the picture. Articles that are deleted are kept and administors can restore them, but as far as I am aware pictures aren't because it would put too much strain on the servers, and in your case, the picture was deleted as well as the link from the page. To be honest with you, the articles fine without it for a few days so just wait till you get the copy of the collaborator. And the second question ................ Wikipedia is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit! So feel free to remove anything from the article that you feel is redundant. Were you meaning the tag at the top of the page about the insufficient context? I added that and I'll remove it now anyway because the article does seam to have improved, I still think there needs to be more in the introduction though, I'm still not totally clear what NeSSI is! Just a word of warning about removing peoples edits, Wikipedia has the three revert rule whereby if you get into an edit war with another editor and revert their edits more than 3 times in 24 hours you can be blocked (I'm not saying this is going to happen at all, its just a bit of advice if it ever does happen to you on wikipedia). On a different note, regarding my concern about the TM's, I think someone else has removed them now because they break policy. Anything else I can help you with? You seam to be getting the hang of the wiki way, so well done! RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 19:52, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you click on history (its near the edit button) you can get up any other version of the page, and compare selected versions. The edit summaries which are displayed here also help to show what other editors have done to the page.
