Lingayatism[edit]

Hello Veeresh,

Reply[edit]

What you are trying to add had already been mentioned in the article. Also, what you are trying to add is not mainstream. Lingayatism is most often attributed to Basavanna, though I am fully aware of the Panchacharyas too. But, there are some core policies and guidelines on wikipedia which we have to adhere to when we write articles. The most important ones are no original research, neutral point of view and reliable sources. Other than this, there are also other important rules like WP:UNDUE, WP:3RR etc.,.

I strongly urge you to go through all the policies I mentioned atleast once. If you dont familiarise yourself with these policies, you will find yourself breaking several rules, even if that was not your intention. Please dont get into edit wars with other users. If you have anything to discuss, discuss on the article's talk page. Other editors will also join in. Thanks. Sarvagnya 06:34, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I request you to take a look at this article that I had started long time back. It is still a stub. I will be grateful to you if you can improve it by citing all the necessary sources. Once you edit that article and we cleanup for spelling, grammar, syntax, formatting etc., we can always create space for it in the main article. Please invest some of your time on that article and improve it. Thanks. Sarvagnya 06:39, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I am pleased with your responses. But please understand that according to Wikipedia rules, anything that we write here should be supported with citations from reliable sources. Otherwise, the admins will simply delete it sooner or later. As for your views on the authors, I am not sure I fully understand what you said. But I am sure we will be able to find several books written by Indian authors themselves. I will also search for sources in the next ten days. You also be on the lookout. An article of such importance deserves to be well written. Sarvagnya 07:14, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Renukacharya.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Renukacharya.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 06:41, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
