Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Bertha Benz does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Ulli Kampelmann[edit]

Vanroc, I have taken a look at the article. It seems to be neutral to me, although perhaps slightly in favor of its subject, which I do not view as entirely a bad thing, so long as it is not to an egregious extent, which I do not find it to be. Two things stood out to me as I was reading for neutrality. First, and the more important of the two, is the phrase "adventures surrounding her escapes from East Germany," which I would change to read "events surrounding her escape(s) [did she in fact escape more than once?-sorry, that's my inner copy-editor at work] from East Germany." The Berlin Wall and the rise and fall of German Communism are touch topics from a standpoint of neutrality, and describing her escape as an adventure casts it in a positive light. We must respect that not everyone is a proponent of democracy, as Wikipedia is a collaborative effort of worldwide scope. With politics in general, and especially with politics in BLPs, neutrality is of paramount importance. Secondly, I noticed the phrase "charming story" in the text of the article, describing a wife's car trip. This is less likely to cause any offence, but it is still possible it may offend some feminists who may interpret it differently than it was intended, or question its author's intent. That is not our wish, and as such I would suggest removal of the word charming, leaving it to read just "story" with no modifying adjective (although if you can think of a more appropriate one you are certainly welcome to use it, so long as you make certain of its neutrality first). Pleasure to be of service, Bronsonboy HQ 04:38, 25 November 2012 (UTC) P.S.: Thank you for your attention to this.[reply]
