Mentor[edit]

I've claimed you as my mentee, so you can ask me questions if you want to learn more or need advice. I'm happy to help. Nobody (talk) 20:45, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How did you do that?

Did I do something to the other mentor? It says 'Your former mentor is no longer your mentor'. Have I annoyed someone else? He did not even leave a message. What happens now? --Untitled740 22:30, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No it's nothing like that. Mentors can claim Mentees where it makes sense. In this case, since we have interacted with each other and I have decent knowledge in the area (Maintenance tags). It makes sense the be your mentor as I know, I can help you, if you have any questions about Maintenance tagging. Nobody (talk) 07:08, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK. How long does it last? --Untitled740 22:32, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is permanent, but that doesn't mean you're under constant watch or something like that. It's more of a, you ask I answer situation. Nobody (talk) 05:14, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK then. How did you get knowledge in the area? And what is the knowledge you have? --Untitled740 23:07, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First read Template index/Cleanup and Wikipedia:Tagging pages for problems, they give some insight on how to tag correctly. Nobody (talk) 06:20, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question about recent edits[edit]

Afternoon, good sir. Just wondering why your most recent edits have been reordering templates on a load of pages? Seems like a strange use of your time. I would also encourage you to use better edit summaries to explain your edits to avoid further topics like this. - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 17:27, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Afternoon, uh... I do not think I have reordered any templates on any page. I did not know it was not allowed either. So I must stay away from templates too. But no idea how I can avoid further topics like this if I have not done it anyway... --Untitled740 20:07, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

tag-bombing football articles[edit]

I see other users have warned you about this, you are creating a great deal of work for other users by unjustifiably tag-bombing articles. I have just spent an hour and a half cleaning up the mess you made of Inter Milan, and have just noticed the utter shambles at Tranmere Rovers, which post-dates the other users talking to you about tag-bombing. If you do not like how the text is, it is far more productive to edit than to tag. And your use of "close paraphrase" tags is incorrect.

As an aside, it is fine to use the phrases "fail to" and "manage to" in an encyclopaedia and if you see the word "clinch", instead of tagging it for tone, simply change it to "secure". Boynamedsue (talk) 04:30, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
