You capitalized the I in intersections; this is improper formatting. --SPUI (T - C) 00:10, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

How about at least not continuing? Now that you know it's wrong, continuing to do it is disruption. --SPUI (T - C) 00:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

PA 40 shield

Hey, sorry to bug ya again. I forgot to mention PA 40 needs a shield. Your work is greatly appreciated.

Oh. I also wanted to add that I like the buttons on your header. If you don't mind, I'm going to use it on my own page until I create something of my own. I'll be on vacation for a little while, so it might stay the same for a little bit. --myselfalso 18:59, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

On the Pennsylvania Route 39 page, the roadbox has PA 40. Even though it doesn't exist, it would look cleaner. --myselfalso 15:12, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Highways Userbox

No apology required. I think it's a fun idea. Homefryes 22:52, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Excellent! Now I just a changeable one for Ohio! Homefryes 23:25, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks again -- I had already put a number in mine before you had it done, just in case! Homefryes 04:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Infobox road / OH vs. SR coding

Thanks for the "side comment" on the WP:OHSH talk page. However, I doubt I'll be changing it, as it would probably get changed back. I was asked not to, and I'm not about to get into it with someone over something so petty. We'll either accept it as it is, or we'll make our own. I would actually prefer to use a more widely used template than make our own, but we'll see what the others want. Appreciate the input, though. Homefryes 04:48, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

You recently "voted" for option 1, and are listed as being part of the WikiProject New York State routes. Are you aware that option 2 does not preclude the use of "New York State Route X"? --SPUI (T - C) 01:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I am. See my discussion at Wikipedia:State route naming conventions poll/Part1#Voting for more details. In my heart, I don't think either proposal truly fits the bill, but something has to be done to end conflicts/edit wars/debates regarding naming conventions and establishing a binding national framework for the convention will help to do so. Is it a panacea? As I said on the poll page, absolutely not. To me, however, it does more to fix the NC problem than the 2nd proposal would, which (the 2nd proposal) will do nothing but put WikiProjects whose naming convention is in dispute back at square one and the same arguments will be rehashed once more. Again, see here for more. --TMF T - C 01:59, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Exit tables and junction tables

I would be very interested in a conversion of the junctions table into something more like your new exit table. In particular, I like way the county name is on the left, and the rowspan on the locations as well. I think it's a much cleaner look in the long run. Is there any way to incorporate such a change with the color-coding that "type" creates? Here again, as mentioned on the Interstates page, I would like to incorporate major waterway crossing. Can this be done. Regards, Homefryes 20:40, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Oh, yeah – that's sharp! In your testing, did you determine if the color coding works? Now, I'd like to get something like that put together for Ohio too. I'm trying to figure it out, but haven't gotten there yet! – Homefryes 15:01, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Help on an Ohio junctions table would be most appreciated, seeing as once you get this change done for PA, it sounds as though I'll have some fixing to do on some of my articles on Western PA routes!  ;) How do you feel about major waterway crossings for state routes: important / not important? Homefryes 15:46, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Cool. I thought waterways would be a good idea, but I see your point. Let me know when the PA junctions tables need to be updated, as I have some I'll update to the new format. Regards, Homefryes 11:56, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
P.S., I've completed the I-80 (Pennsylvania) exit table. Homefryes 11:58, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Great – thanks for the new PA table coding. I caught it this morning, so I'm working on my updates now. When you have time (no rush), let me know when you have a chance to create the Ohio junctions table. Thanks! Homefryes 15:16, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
We at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ohio State Highways are discussing a change on the naming for the Ohio state route shields to OH-XXX.svg, so this would affect the coding for any junctions table shortcuts you would make. Probably good to hold off until I get clearance to upload the remainder of the shields. Speaking of which, who would we ask to alter the coding on Infobox Road so that when Ohio is the type, "OH" would appear in the text? Currently it shows "SR." Homefryes 11:40, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
The new Ohio shields are uploaded with the naming convention OH-X.svg thru OH-XXX.svg, so whenever you have time to build the coding for a junctions table, that would be great. No rush. I really appreciate your helping me on this. Regards, Homefryes 11:09, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Just didn't want to take you away from something else you might be working on =). Thanks for the help!! Homefryes 10:14, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Infobox road

On the subject of this infobox, can you point to where the coding can be changed to recognized the newly uploaded Ohio shields? They now have the naming convention OH-X.svg thru OH-XXX.svg, and are loaded on the Commons. Thanks! Homefryes 16:31, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Most excellent -- thank you! Homefryes 18:32, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I found another minor template issue: {{OHShield|93|20}} points to the old shields. Can you help? Once again, thanks! Homefryes 16:26, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

PA Turnpike image sucks!

Since you're way better at this than myself I'd love if you could spruce up this sad PNG into a nice crisp SVG. Thanks a ton if you can!

Infobox_road template standards

I have added a discussion thread at WT:NJSCR to address standards for NJ road infoboxes and invite your participation. Over the past several weeks, we have made tremendous progress in cleaning up the articles for the State highways in New Jersey, especially with the expansion and addition of infoboxes to most of these articles. However, there seems to be a great deal of confusion as to what should be going in these infoboxes. I am creating this thread and inviting those users who have been active participants in editing these pages to come up with a mutually agreeable answer on the issues listed. I will take on the task of moderating this discussion, but I will add my 2 cents on these topics. We can add more questions if needed, but please, be civil. Alansohn 23:32, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

      • Okay, I could use a couple for Suffolk CR's 14 and 94. I've got a couple of shield that aren't showing up on exit lists. DanTD 16:15, 23 August 2006 (EST)

Very happy to have you aboard. Homefryes SayDo 21:28, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Seperated voting, watch for vandalism

I seperated the page into distinct headings. Please check for vandalism from one particular User_talk:Rory096#Wikipedia:State_route_naming_conventions_poll.2FPart1 user on this and the general Part 1 voting page. Vote tampering by adding in a comment outside the discussion might nullify his vote if he continues. Thanks! Seicer (talk) (contribs) 21:42, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

PA Shield Request

It would be freakin' sweet if you could make shields for PA 201 and 204. Though the articles don't yet exist, they would be used for the srbox on US 202. Thanks! --myselfalso 02:48, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

NYSRInt question

Hi TMF. I was editing New York State Route 96 and encountered a dilemma. 96, as I'm sure you're aware, crosses straight through the center of the Can of Worms, so I put a "noaccess" NYSRInt instance in the junction table. Trouble is, the intersection is very literally right on the border between Brighton and Rochester, and there's no way to specify that using the template. Any ideas? (I've left it as just "Brighton" for now.) Powers T 15:10, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Ah, I should have known you'd have a way. =) Now if only there was a way to show that an intersection straddled two counties, as on New York State Route 104. =) Powers T 17:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, saw your changes to NY-96. I'm worried that adding the NY 441 shield and the gray coloring to the Penfield Rd. intersection makes it look like the intersection is no longer there. You and I know it just means that 441 no longer goes that way but I'm afraid that's not how it looks to the average reader. Powers T 00:00, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Hm, I adjusted the wording in the Notes, but I'm still not 100% happy with it. I'll give it a bit, maybe it'll grow on me. Powers T 02:36, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

PA Routes List

Hey, thanks for contributing to the page. Don't hesitate to add more or change the page as changes are made to the articles listed. Also, I've added a column for the 1920s route numbers. Check it out! --myselfalso 23:54, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Poll

Yeah... they can't accept that they didn't get a majority. Uggh. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 22:43, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Dammit :( It's sad to lose your expertise, even if its a short-term bit. I'm thinking of doing the same, because of the bullshit thats going on unless something is done quick about SPUI's continual disruptions and rants. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 05:27, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
TMF, I hate to see you let that person chase you away. I hope you'll return soon, as your help and expertise are greatly appreciated by the community. Nevertheless, enjoy your break. Homefryes SayDo 13:44, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Nuclear war has been avoided and we've come to a compromise. I only fear that we may not be able to avoid it next time. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 21:55, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

NY Route 17

Hello. I added the info that Skudrafan1 asked about on NY Route 17, where it dips into Pennsylvania, with references. (Although when it becomes I-86, this will not be very interesting.) — Michael J 15:52, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey

Hey, thanks for the fix! Oh, and welcome back! --myselfalso 16:28, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

PA 29

Hey, just so you know, I merged Pennsylvania Route 29. --myselfalso 15:12, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Nice job on PA 29! I was really impressed when I saw what you did to the page. My child is Pennsylvania Route 39, which I do have to do more work on. Once I get some time, I plan on putting some time into it.

Keep up the good work!

Suffolk CR 66 shield

Welcome back, and if it's not too much trouble, can you make a Suffolk County Road 66 shield? I really should gater more of them in the future.

Chataqua County 380

Yes, that was my bad; I've reverted myself and added it back. I was studying all the state highway categories working on completing Rschen's list on WT:SRNC and fixing sortkeys where necessary, and assumed that it was a mistake without thoroughly reading the article. My apologies. -- NORTH talk 19:48, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

PA Shields

I need shields for PA 103, PA 116, and PA 132. Make them at your leisure! Thanks! --myselfalso 00:28, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
