Request reason:

I've been blocked by users Tnxman307 and Cirt as being a "sockpuppet", as they've assumed that I am in fact some user named "Shutterbug" who was blocked from Wikipedia some time ago. I'm asking to be unblocked as I have no idea who "Shutterbug" is, and 'turbotad' is my only Wikipedia account. My name is Tad, I'm from Washington, DC, I'm a parent, a network engineer, and a Scientologist. As such, I'd like to be able to contribute to wikipedia in areas I have knowledge - namely Scientology & parenting - which is what I was attempting to edit when I got blocked. As you can tell, I've made almost no edits to wikipedia (only a handful since creating this acct in 2006) but I'd like to be active as a contributor in my areas of interest and hope I'm going about this block removal process properly.

Decline reason:

A checkuser investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shutterbug/Archive#15 November 2010 has identified you as a likely sockpuppet of Shutterbug.  Sandstein  22:34, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I just saw what Cirt noted in his review, and why you blocked my account. Understood. Again, I factually have not made very many Wikipedia edits EVER, so am not versed in protocol nor what looks "spammy" or "normal" to you. I'm a blogger, but never got into Wikipedia. Now, I'd LIKE to. I do happen to have a lot to say about this "silent birth" topic, and noted that "silentbirth.org" isn't around anymore. A suitable replacement is on the site I linked to, thus I changed it. I would like to flesh out that article more, as right now it's pathetically lacking. But I can't as long as I'm continued to be accused of being a "sock" account. In terms of whether or not I'm real, well, look at my editing IPs. I'm either at home or at work, never through some anonymizer or other weirdness. If you want to see my bio - see here: http://blog.reevestech.net/about/ . That's me. I don't know how else to prove it to you - maybe you email something directly and I post it on the site. I don't know. Obviously I want to be able to contribute to Wikipedia. There must be some way you can just look and verify I am who I say I am. Turbotad (talk) 19:50, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to edit Wikipedia, you may not create new accounts to dodge a prior block. Instead, you need to log into the first account you used at Wikipedia and request an unblock there. Jayron32 02:49, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Jayron - thank you very much for reviewing my unblock request. This is my one and only Wikipedia account. I am being unfairly targeted as a sockpuppet of some user named "Shutterbug" that I have no knowledge of except that he's making my life miserable right now. "Turbotad" is my only Wikipedia account EVER. I use the same id EVERYWHERE, except on Twitter as someone else already took it. I'm the easiest person in the world to do a background check on. Just google "turbotad". Yes, I have blogs. I have social media accounts. I like to write, and would like to be able to assist in editing Wikipedia as well. I am one guy. Do a geo-lookup on my IP history. I was in LA, now I'm in Washington DC. I think I made one of my edits from Oregon. I am one person, and I'm DEFINITELY not "Shutterbug!" :) Turbotad (talk) 9:52 pm, Yesterday (UTC−6)

Decline reason:

You were blocked because a combination of technical evidence based on your IP address and behavioral evidence based on your editing patterns indicates you are a sockpuppet of banned user Shutterbug; therefore, I find it hard to believe your explanation. If you want to be unblocked, request an unblock with your original account or email arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org. Dabomb87 (talk) 17:20, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

4th unblock request[edit]

This is to note that my 4th unblock request was sent via email to arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org. I didn't post this here as I'm attempting to provide whatever PII is needed to verify my identity. If you want my phone number to call me to verify, just ask. Turbotad (talk) 20:06, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Successful ban appeal[edit]

Following receipt of credible new evidence by email, the Arbitration Committee en banc has vacated the SPI decision and overturned your block. For the Arbitration Committee,  Roger talk 10:14, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
