Thank you for your contribution to the List of table tennis players. However, next time, before deleting a player, you are asked to describe the issue in the Talk page, Talk:List of table tennis players. Indeed, the two players you have removed are actually table tennis champions:

Although there was an error in the wikilink to the player page. --Cialo (talk) 14:08, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well I inserted missing (de-) interwiki links into the articles. Doing this I found the bad links. Next time in such cases I will give a hint at the talk page. Greetings --Tsor (talk) 16:13, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ok... I have seen you have checked almost all the entries of the list. I really thank you for this effort. --Cialo (talk) 17:03, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the information... I'll change it asap, otherwise you can directly correct the mistake. And let meknow if you are interested i collaborating in the Table tennis wikipages. --Cialo (talk) 09:23, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thank you. However, as you have seen, most of the table tennis wikipages contain few text and a lot of statistics. For example, I would need help in completing the page of the: African Table Tennis Federation, North American Table Tennis Union, Oceania Table Tennis Championships, North American Table Tennis Championships, African Table Tennis Championships. I guess this pages are important so that also the winning players of these tournaments could be included in the List of table tennis players. An other important point is the image management. I would need help in finding images of players that could be freely used on wikipedia. --Cialo (talk) 09:40, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

    • If you did not receive a code but were on the approved list, add your name to this section and we'll try again.
  • The 1-year, free period begins when you enter the code.
  • To activate your account: 1) Go to http://www.highbeam.com/prof1; 2) You’ll see the first page of a two-page registration. 3) Put in an email address and set up a password. • A quick reminder about using the account: 1) try it out; 2) provide original citation information, in addition to linking to a HighBeam article; 3) avoid bare links to non-free HighBeam pages; 4) note "(subscription required)" in the citation, where appropriate
  • HighBeam would love to hear feedback at WP:HighBeam/Experiences
  • Show off your HighBeam access by placing {{User:Ocaasi/highbeam_userbox}} on your userpage
  • When the 1-year period is up, check applications page to see if renewal is possible. We hope it will be.

The Wikipedia Library Survey[edit]

As a subscriber to one of The Wikipedia Library's programs, we'd like to hear your thoughts about future donations and project activities in this brief survey. Thanks and cheers, Ocaasi t | c 15:56, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tsor, I have added a birth date and death date quarter. The free BMD database (which shows quarters), only has one Joan Mary Ingram as 1910 and only death reference gives an actual birth date, I have added reference on the page to help. In addition Ancestry confirms birth date on 1939 register and death index. 1911 census confirms birth place but cannot find an actual date in the first quarter of 1981 for a death. Hope this helps. ApricotFoot (talk) 15:52, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ApricotFoot, these reference to DMD database doesnt convince, because I see many more entries for persons named Joan Ingram:
  • Joan Blance, * Jun 1900
  • Joan Victoria, * Mar 1901
  • Joan Moira E, * Sept. 1903
  • Joan + Joanna, * Jun 1907
  • Joan Mary, * Mar 1910
  • Joan Constance, * Jun 1910
  • Joan, * Jun 1911
  • Joan, * Sept. 1911
?????????????????? Where is a hint to table tennis? --Tsor (talk) 12:36, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tsor, found this on Tennis forum https://www.tennisforum.com/24966442-post90.html but did not think forum reference is allowed on the actual page. INGRAM, JOAN (Joan Mary Ingram) United Kingdom Born 28 February 1910 Died 04 February 1981 in Westminster, London [Active circa 1927-1947]

She won the junior mixed doubles in 1927 with Richard J “Dickie” Ritchie. Played Wimbledon 1932-1939. Her singles record there was 4-8, and her best result was the 3R in 1934. A doubles specialist, Joan made the Wightman Cup in 1937 and 1938. A highlight for her was a victory in the 1938 Wightman Cup, where She and Evelyn Dearman beat Dodo Bundy and Helen Wills moody 7-5 6-2. Won 1937 and 1938 British Covered Court doubles, 1938 British Hard Courts doubles (all with Evelyn Dearman)

Proof of same Joan Ingram tennis and table tennis is photos on NPG and table tennis archive, (photo is the same person). https://www.npg.org.uk/collections/search/person/mp126261/joan-ingram - tennis photos https://tabletennisengland.co.uk/news/featured-news/friday-photos-87-some-favourite-images-from-the-past/ - table tennis photos Hope this helps ApricotFoot (talk) 15:21, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot ApricotFoot. I entered dates of birth and death in german WP. Greetings --Tsor (talk) 16:17, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tsor Re-Karenza Smith - Have added reference next to the marriage note. https://tabletennisengland.co.uk/etta_website/magazine-archive/1968-69/tt_issue216.pdf The article confirms that maiden name was Smith. The marriage on BMD also confirms that her first name was Karenza and that she did not go by any other name. There are only three birth records for Karenza Smiths on BMD and only one matches the age of our Karenza Smith. Hope that helps. ApricotFoot (talk) 17:58, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ApricotFoot, please can you link to BMD? --Tsor (talk) 18:42, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dora Emdin[edit]

Well spotted, yes a mistake on my part, it is indeed 1912 and not 1922, thanks for the spot. ApricotFoot (talk) 10:39, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also confirmed the (4 August) on Ancestry.com but don't know how to reference this one because a login is required to access the information. ApricotFoot (talk) 10:45, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@ApricotFoot: I got 3 lists which you can find here. There I see:
  • born 1912 (July, August or September) in Albana (why 4. August??) [1]
  • married 1940 (July, August or September) Mr. Zillwood in Willesden
  • died 1945 (April, May or June) as Dora Zillwood in Celtenham
Unfortunately I can't see the documents
--Tsor (talk) 15:38, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK, found some other references. Sie died 9 April 1945 [2]. --Tsor (talk) 20:09, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Irene Lentle & Pauline Piddock[edit]

References added to both, more specific details can be found on Ancestry but no way to cite them because login required. ApricotFoot (talk) 21:18, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
