Bananas

Okay, that may be a personal blind spot. I also have a longstanding habit of manically praising bananas (how can anyone not like bananas?) Possibly I didn't notice anything unusual about the Doctor's expression of his opinion. --Tony Sidaway 06:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Special note to spamlist users: Apologies for the formatting issues in previous issues. This only recently became a problem due to a change in HTML Tidy; however, I am to blame on this issue. Sorry, and all messages from this one forward should be fine (I hope!) -Ral315

Could be a return of the sex gas, hmm? (We've already had a "Mary" in Sarah Jane Adventures, haven't we). Of course, this is speculation, but doesn't stop the multiple edits each day about the Master. Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 15:10, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Torchwood Sewers

I have stated the reasons for this being removed. As of the moment, the final part of this story has not been aired therefore no confirmation. Wikipedia is not used for specualation and rumour even if it is spawned from comments on bbc websites. So the "this may or may not be linked to these episodes" comment contradicts this policy. This is not vandalism, this is legitimate editing.--Nosxalc 09:49, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

I already apologised to you, Talk:Evolution of the Daleks. I agree the correction is now less confusing but if no connection is made in the forthcoming episode then the note should be removed.--Nosxalc 15:09, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
This is silly, I did not insult you, you are over reacting. You should of explained your reasons for reverting my edit straight away anyway. I thought that would be understandable courtesy.
Okay you are right there is a connection with 1930's New York; so if nothing in the forthcoming episode reveals anymore, about the Weevils, the crocodiles in the sewers, then the note should just read "The Torchwood Institute website references 1930s New York.".--Nosxalc 15:24, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
My point exactly.--Nosxalc 15:31, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

You missed my "exact" point then, but never mind.--Nosxalc 15:34, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm glad that you wasted a lot of time searching for that definition, but clearly you are trying to stir up some kind of fued between us. You are a very anti-social Wikipedian.--Nosxalc 16:39, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Consider this a caution, Wikipedia should not be used as a battleground. If you persist in this arguing with me. I'll report it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nosxalc (talkcontribs)

Your recent edit to Golden Gate Bridge (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Note from Rambutan: sorry - I reverted, but it edit-conflicted and the popups made me revert back to the vandalised version. Sorry.--Rambutan (talk) 17:47, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Copyright violation warning

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to 42 (Doctor Who). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:42 (Doctor Who) with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:42 (Doctor Who) with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:42 (Doctor Who) saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Cheers. Matthew 18:11, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

"Sign your posts on talkpages. That's policy. Now, I'm not using Wikipedia as a battleground, and if you just shut up I couldn't be arguing with you. You could have stayed quiet after I pointed out that nevermind wasn't a word... you could have stayed quiet after I said that I didn't want to waste more of my (frankly very valuble) time on this absurd discussion. You continued entering into dialogue with me - and very stupid dialogue it was too! This is why I'm not going to pay attention to your warning - which you simply made, and isn't real.--Rambutan (talk) 17:35, 27 April 2007 (UTC)"

Will I didn't "violate" anything, so I'm not worried. Now you can stop editing my talk page, this is over. John Reaves (talk) 07:20, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Rambutan, I advice that you take it easy, and stop while you ahead. Persisting in this dispute now with John will only get you in trouble. This is not a threat, nor an attack on you. I hope you don't take this the wrong way.--Nosxalc 18:55, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
"I'd rather you didn't drag yourself into this as well, but I respect that you're allowed to if you so wish", I have been involved since the start, with you being very irascible towards me. I see however my advice has fallen on deaf ears.--Nosxalc 07:12, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Your cleanup of the Doctor Who articles

Hello Rambutan. I have noticed that you are using AWB to cleanup the Doctor Who articles. I just wanted to make you aware of a couple of things. First, the program (which I admit I only know a little about) may be cleaning up too much. In the article for The Five Doctors the AWB had you unlink Jon Pertwee's name from the cast list, but none of the other actors portraying the Doctor. Now this is a little odd on its own and you should be aware that the wikiproject for Doctor Who usually allows for a little excess linking of names by having them linked in the infobox and in the cast list section. Second, and more important, the program is having unlink a whole batch of items that were only recently linked by User:Wolf of Fenric. He put in a good deal of hard work creating these links and from past experience I know how much of a bummer it is when your work gets removed by a program that may not understand why the original edits were put in in the first place. Now I am not trying to start a conflict between the two of you and I can tell that you both care about Doctor Who and that you are both trying to do what is best for the shows pages here at wikiP. I would like to suggest that you might want to start a dialogue on the discussion page at the wikiproject Doctor Who about what each of you were trying to accomplish and see what the members of the project feel is best.

So that you know that I am not trying to play you off against each other I have posted a variation of this note on Wolf's page. Now, I also know that I don't always see all of the discussions at the projects talk page and it is possible that you have spoken with each other and that a consensus has been reached, if so, I apologize for taking up your time. I would only add that you might want to look a little closer at what AWB is suggesting that you remove and ignore some of its advice. Cheers and happy editing. MarnetteD | Talk 21:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

I am noticing that it is really only The Five Doctors page which has been affected in the way that my note talks about so you may want to double check what the page looked like just before you AWB cleanup edit to see what I am talking about. MarnetteD | Talk 21:29, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Further checking has showed that none of Wolf's edits have been affected so many many apologies for filling your page with incorrect info and taking up your time. The Pertwee thing still makes me wonder so I suppose I must look a little further into what AWB does. Thanks for you time and sorry for wasting it. MarnetteD | Talk 22:09, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your note Rambutan. It seems that I made a leap of logic that took me over a cliff. None of the links removed had anything to do with the edits that Wolf is making because he had not gotten as far as The Five Doctors yet in the little project that he is doing so no apologies are needed. May you continue to have fun editing herre at wikiP and thanks again. MarnetteD | Talk 13:52, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
