Your recent editing history at Cruise Lines International Association shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Thanks for your welcome and for voicing your concerns, however there is nothing to disclose. I was trying to write an article on cruises back in December and quickly found the Wikipedia page for CLIA, I am thorough in my work and like to reference original sources myself - however the context of the CLIA article and the context of the reference did not match and is very misleading to the audience. I made the switch and moved on with my life. Today I've received some update via email to log back in and did so to find my time spent was wasted. I've tried to add some better context instead of simply reverting your reversions and to help avoid continued reversions, including cleaning up the member list (removing "Pandaw") and by adding more content. The Wikipedia page for CLIA featured a clear request bar, asking for more content and to clarify the page, what am I supposed to do???
Please note that you have threatened me with 'blocking' three times in my first two ever edits here on Wikipedia. Your approach also clearly implies that you are an admin or other authority here at Wikipedia - I don't believe this to be the case[1] and while you are entitled to have differing opinions I find your approach to be closer to bullying or coercion.Travel Shy (talk) 19:38, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- So just to be clear you deny that you have any connection to the CLIA and that therefore no declaration is necessary under WP:COI or WP:PAID?
