Fair enough; though note that the rise in votes was in direct proportion to the decrease in voilent PIRA activity. Also, that there is very little substance between SF of, say, 1981, and the policys they espouse now. An absense of PIRA violence doesn't mean there is peace, it just means the PIRA is not active, but you are right in the fact that there is a direct correlation. But is there peace? I say no, If there was then peace lines would be ripped down, but that's not going to happen. Look at Dublin on Saturday, the smallest thing can trigger massive riots (think marching season), what we have isn't peace. Yes SF have changed since '81, they compete in elections (I'm not a shinner by the way), they (SF/IRA) have helped end the Unionist hegemony, made sectarianism in employment all but extinct and have sat on a power-sharing executive. Things have improvewd no doubt, but to say there is no good reason for a United Ireland is complete and utter bollocks.

Ireland is a small island with a small population, and a small fraction think they're the Queens favourite people on Earth which means a border was conjured up to divide it. Ireland was divided in ancient times, then a single entity for centureies, it will be united again somehow. Britain is all too keen to leave thie North, North-South programmes are greater in number , the leadership of SF know this and know that real politics is now just as effective as bombs were. A very large minority in the 6 counties are not British, Irish passport applications are going across the border like never before. Very good points, and well stated. However, Ireland was never in its history united as a single, soverign Irish political entity. Would that it were so. In any case, what say do we in Ireland have on the idea of suddenly expanding our state by bringing in the north? Its not a terribly popular idea down here. And I never stated it was ever a united sovereign entity, just that it was a single entity. And the free-staters in the South might not be overly-excited about the prospect, but real Republicans are, I'm not overly excited about being ruled in a capitalist country with Dublin as it's capital and PD's in govt (Just as bad as London in many respects). I just want to see Britain leave first and foremost, then a solution on unity, whether it be a confederation, a federation - whatever. I'm a socialist, my ideal Ireland would be a 32 county workers republic, or something near it. If I was offered a free "Northern Ireland" based on socialist principles I would take it, then work towards unity.

Pretty sure the Keane clan is is from the south east, there is a variant of kane that is keane, but most are found in the south coast area. The Keane coat of arms, I have no idea.

Well becides myself, their is one other user, Gnevin that is on board. I have invited editors that have made edites to the artiles in question, ones that have added content or their edits seem to express an intrest in the subject, but the question is if they will join or not. I have also posted notices on some internal boards, inviting useres to help out. Re:Project

Well i am less concerned about finding images then adding txt to the artciles, ie history, background, and such. But the images do not hurt. As for the set, yeah image use on here is not well coridnated nor is it well explaind, they really need a copyright laywer to come in and flesh it out then trhying to do one thing and say another, but that is an ither discussion. The images could be used off of fair use provisions, tag it wil something like {{Non-free fair use in}}, but it would be bset to try to seek the permission of the holder of the images and get them to release the usage to wikipedia. If your going to fair use its best only to use one of the image, mulitple from the same source can invaladate fair use, and the only image that i would not use of them is the first one, being that it from another source, Daily Ireland, and not the Ulster board, that just adds another issue. As for images though, i rahther have good mages in articles, then crap images, other wise it does not add value to the article or to image. Just thought you'd like to know that on the Talk:Britain page there is a vote. The vote is to redirect Britain to Great Britain.
