SPI helper script – "requesting admin action" template replacement
Hi Tim! I'm Kevin, an SPI clerk. In your SPI script, what do you think about replacing the bolded "Admin action needed" comment when requesting an admin action with Template:Awaitingadmin, which displays as

About the article of Wang Junkai
I would like to know that about the problem of notability, Wang Junkai indeed has his personal notability apart from the activity of his group TFBOYS. He has released two solo songs on July and August: Farris Wheel （摩天輪的思念）and Ode to A Tree（樹讀）. Also, he joined the movie The Great Wall, which will be released on Feb. 2017. There are online news about his first join of the movie. I am wondering are these works and activity proofs of his personal notability independent of his group? Besides of these works, Junkai also received a Guinness World Records title for the Most reposts of a Weibo post ever, which could show his notability. If these will help, could you revert the redirecting move? And if there's other problems against this article, I will try to fix it afterwards.

His two solo songs both won the first one on important online music platform in China, such as “QQ Music” and "Music V Chart"right after they released, and the sonf "Ode to A Tree" even got the score 100 in its first week online. Apart from these work, Wang Junkai has personally received several awards and achievements from 2014 till now, such as "2014 The Most Popular Singer of Mainland, Power Star Chart (2014，2015)", “ 2015 The Annual Most Popular Singer, Taiwan&Mainland of China Perfect Man Chart (2015)[1]”, " Top 10 Most Influential Person in 2015, The 2nd World Internet Conference (2015)[2]", "NO.7 Annual Hottest Discussed Male Celebrity, 2015 Data Report in Chinese Trending Topics and Expressions (2015)[3]", etc. These achievements are belong to his personal credit, not because of the group. All these were written in the article you have reverted. If you want even more details about his personal activity independent of his group, there were a section about Wang Junkai's personal activity in the previous article. - It's questionable how many of those music charts meet WP:CHART, or how reliable those people charts are - just take one example, your "2nd World Internet Conference" reference says that the list came from voting by internet users, and the only stated connection to the conference is that the list was released around the time the conference began. - If you say so, then I am curious that the other member of TFBOYS, Jackson Yi, as for actually he has even the less proof of notability in his article than Wang Junkai's, why could his page be retained? And about the music chart that wiki contains, non of them is from Chinese country, so how can you judge a Chinese music chart significant or not by this standard? This Record Chart page also have sentence saying that, "many reliable charts are not included on this list, primarily due to archiving problems." Therefore I am not convinced by this judgement. The other question about the standard of notability, I thought Wang Junkai has his obvious solo activity or achievement that could meet the criteria of Wikipedia:MUSICBIO, that members of a group should not have personal article "unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases." His solo song break the record of the important music chart in China, and his record even beat the group TFBOYS. I still don't know why all these proofs can't stand, but your "presumably" inference can stand the point. Also the other evidence of Junkai's independent notability is that Wang Junkai's Official Weibo[4] followers has reached 18,489,790 (today's data) and his group TFBOYS' Official Weibo[5] followers are only 9,214,551 (today's data), the numbers are twice more. Just having solo releases is not enough; the releases must be sufficient to meet a criterion in WP:MUSICBIO (just as an example, if there is evidence that one of the solo songs was "placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network", that may be sufficient evidence for an independent article). According to its official website, “V chart (mandarin chart) is the exclusive Chinese chart listed on Billboard. com, international charts section[7]”, and Wang Junkai’s solo song 摩天輪的思念 （Miss Of Sky Wheel）is on the chart for six weeks from the week of Aug. 8 to the week of Sep. 10, in which the first three weeks and the last two weeks are all rank 1, including only one week of rank 2. I think this record should be take in count due to the rules that the artist “has had a single or album on any country's national music chart.” Besides, because it is the era of the internet, most popular songs are broadcasted through the online music platform in China, so the significant records are most from the online data. Just like the V chart mentioned above, the other important online music platform in China is QQ Music, which its “QQ Top Music Chart[8]” (QQ音樂巔峰榜) record every online broadcast and digital sales data on its platform as the certification of the song’s popularity. This database serves a highly significance in China. - It may be a Billboard cobranded chart, but its description says "A ranking of the most-viewed videos on Chinese music video service YYT", so it still runs afoul of the rule against single-vendor/network charts; QQ Music is similar. Suggestion for improvement
I noticed that spihelper.js kind of messes up when there's additional dates and takes open cases and archives them (after removing the case status headers too). I noticed this but absolutely forgot until now. I would be obliged if you could please fix it. --QEDK (T ☕ C) 15:31, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a known issue. When I originally wrote the script, multiple simultaneously open reports under the same case was so rare that I decided it's not worth the effort to try to support them. But perhaps it's time to revisit the issue. T. Canens (talk) 07:51, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

The CommonsLab is the concluding "upload party" to the Wikipedia @ Open House New York Weekend photo scavenger hunt, and an accompanying Wikimedia Commons multimedia hackathon. The event will take the form of a modified unconference, with sessions for photographers/creatives, editors/writers and hackers/software folks!

  Join us for a full Saturday of social Wikipedia editing at the Museum of Modern Art (drop-in any time!), during which we will create, update, and improve Wikipedia articles pertaining to the lives and works of Latin American artists. The WikiArte (Wiki Arte y Cultura Latinoamerica) edit-a-thon is a global campaign to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Latin American arts and culture and to counter geocultural systemic bias on Wikipedia. Featuring an opening Artists' Panel at 10am, with Sol Aramendi, Sharon Lee De La Cruz, and Marisa Morán Jahn, to be moderated by Rocío Aranda-Alvarado, curator at El Museo del Barrio. The Museum of Modern Art and Fundacion Cisneros/Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros are uniting with international allies to focus on the lives and works of Latin American artists, architects and designers. With keystone events scheduled for October 22 in New York City and other cities throughout the month (Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Caracas, & others), the campaign aims to further similar goals to Art+Feminism. All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required. Introductory training on the basics of Wikipedia editing will be given throughout the edit-a-thon. Please bring your laptop and power cord; we will have library resources, WiFi, and a list of suggested topics on hand.
