Non-free files in your user space[edit]

Hey there Timeastor, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Timeastor/LTE. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:06, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ὄγκος[edit]

Hi! A few months ago you edited the article Oncology, changing the Greek word ὄγκος to ὄνκος. Just wanted to let you know that this is incorrect. Ancient Greek had a velar nasal in this position, so the word would be pronounced more like [óŋkos] (no guarantees of accuracy though) and this is reflected in the spelling. You can check with a dictionary. --qvvx (talk) 16:16, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marina Tsvetaeva[edit]

Hi Timeastor, thanks for your edit to the lead of Marina Tsvetaeva. I reverted because it is a personal take on her life, without neutral perspective. It's best to keep it factual and verifiable, based on secondary sourced evidence. See WP:RS and WP:lead. The leads don't need to have actual footnotes, but they do need to be citable, and the facts backed up in the article. The Tsvetaeva article is sorely in need of work and it's great that you are adding to it. I'm sure the lead re-write took time and effort. This article from the British publishers Carcanet Press is the best free solid web resource on her I can find at short notice. I'll add it to the links section and look around for some more. I am at work on Joseph Brodsky at the moment. I hope that is clear. Best wishes Span (talk) 04:39, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see your note about no talk page discussion on your user page. Just wanted to explain about the revert, given the work you put into the edit. I look forward to working with you. Best wishes Span (talk) 09:00, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your translation is lovely. Thanks for posting it. Is a great thing to post it on Wikisource. Span (talk) 10:17, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
