Could it be true?[edit]

Another MIT person hacking on the Wikipedia? Welcome to our conspiracy!

...I am in fact a current slave of the 'Tute. We'll see how long this particular trend lasts - so far WP has been a great distraction at work and in general during the summer, but I'm sure you're well accustomed to how MIT sucks up that time once the term starts. Which happens in approximately 2 weeks... --tiffanicita (talk | contribs) 20:26, August 25, 2005 (UTC)
When Jorge Cham, the guy who draws PIled Higher and Deeper, came to visit MIT back in the spring, I told him how I used the WP as a procrastination technique. It's really pretty horrible — even though I'm truthfully just slacking off, I get the feeling that I'm contributing something valuable to human knowledge, scholarship, etc., so I'm motivated to slack off even more. He thought that was pretty funny. He was also probably pleased that I'd given him a little free publicity in the Three Laws of Robotics article.
If you really want the chance to "contribute to human knowledge", Prof. Bennett of the writing department will be teaching a class on wikis, either next term or in the spring. Just think, you could get HASS credit for editing the WP! Anville 16:19, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I think you mean Prof. Barrett, he of Digital Poetry and Communicating in Cyberspace? Janet13 06:05, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
(Much belated reply) Yes; this is what happens when my fingers start thinking much faster than the rest of me. Anville 13:21, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Slight oddity about your political compass rating[edit]

Hi there, I was just browsing your political compass rating and you've said yourself as having the following scores:

Economic = 1.88 Left, Social = 4.62 Libertarian.

That seems to class you not on the left but on the right moderately, whereas your social score is undeniably authoritarian rather than libertarian. Unless of course, you've not put your scores on correctly. --Knucmo2 19:15, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
