Work Feedback[edit]

Tiffany, I am so pleased to see you engaging with Wikipedia. I would like for you to make a couple of small changes to your process. Please create a Sandbox on your User page and use it for your bibliography, outline, and article expansion development. Right now, you are beginning these task on the Main Article (Skinner) Talk page. Use that Talk page only to introduce yourself and post the flag that you are revising that article. That Talk page is not for article development, but rather a place for you to collaborate with other editors once we move from the Sandbox. After your article is written, edited, and reviewed by me you will move it to the Main page for the article.

Hello, class![edit]

As I check in on your Wikipedia progress I can see that you are actively engaged with this new tool. We only have a short time left to generate a meaningful contribution. I have noted a few editing issues as I look through your work. Three common issues are citations, editing notes, and signing your work. You are trained to use APA style citations and Wikipedia does not support that in its citation editor. In Wikipedia, use the Cite tool, select the appropriate Template from the drop-down menu, and fill in the blanks to produce your citations and references. When you complete an editing session, be sure you enter a brief description of what you did. This helps all of us to follow the changes you make. Finally, when you complete an edit, sign your work. You sign your work using four tildes like this PsycTeacher (talk) 18:15, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you need help, begin by consulting the Wikipedia Resources links on our Course Main Page. Here you will find a link to a document titled Editing Guidelines and other help pages. PsycTeacher (talk) 18:15, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

B.F. Skinner on Education[edit]

I am a newbie, but I am eager to learn the ins and outs of editing and contributing to Wikipedia. I hope to contribute valuable information concerning B.F. Skinner's theories on education.

Great! It's good to see new enthusiastic contributors to Wikipedia :) One of the first things you should know is to "sign" all your posts on talk pages with 4 tildes (~~~~). This will leave your username and the date. ~ Anastasia [Missionedit] (talk) 04:11, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page you created was tagged as a test page under section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
Great job! You have identified a page to expand. Now you can begin drafting your contribution in the sandbox. PsycTeacher (talk) 20:55, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tiff

As I suspected last night, you are working in the Article’s Main Space and Talk Page. This is not where you should be drafting your material. You should be doing that work in Your Sandbox.

When you work in the Main Space, you are subject to the recommendations and actions of co-wikipedians. Your work may, probably will, be modified by others. That is why you should draft in Your Sandbox where only our class members have access to your work. I made a substantial post on the Course Talk Page yesterday. Rather than retype that post here I will refer you to that material.
