GA Nominee
Hey. Just to let you know, before you nominate an article to be reviewed for GA status, you are supposed to notify the WP:PW people on their talk page. Then they can fix things like taking it out of universe, before it is submitted for review. Nikki311 03:09, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
I guess you could do one of two things. 1. Keep the nominee in tact. or 2. Remove the nomination from Shane's talk page and the GA nominee page, and then post that you want to nominate the article on the WP:PW talk page. I guess that's your decision. Nikki311 03:05, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
It's pretty close. I'd say the major issues are expanding the lead to better summarize the entire article (see WP:Lead) and taking the article out of universe so it is clear what is wrestling storyline and what is reality. I'd do it myself, but I'm busy working on a couple of other articles right now and my real life (I'm a full time college student and I have a part time job). It was cool to learn that you are a relatively young wikipedian, as am I. I also like user boxes, and I also speak French!! My mother's French. I have been to school for two years in France.
I don'twant to overwhelm you, but here are my main querys on WP-
1. getting things done how can I make substaintial edits more often? Or even helppful small ones? I am trying to create a Lord of the Flies Literary Critism/ symbols section, but it is very slow process because I have to find time/ energy to take notes from my sources. That is a very slow process.
2. technical skills/refs On the Elizabeth Keckly page, I am trying to start to cite my sources--which I forgot to do while writing-- but it's not working out. I have put a more specific question on the article's talk page.

On citing sources--on most pages there are little numbers after each sentence,and below there is a section entitled refrences under which these numbers--with sources listed after them--appear. On the Elizabeth Keckly page, however, there is a little 'one' but there is no section in which these magically appear. It might be easier if you look at the article. Thanks for your help!!

Well that didn't really help, that was just the encyclopediac article on bullets and indenting. But I have figured out how to make footnotes apear at the bottom of a page!! Yay!! A heads-up
I just had to repair a page move on your user page/talk page. Socks 01 (talk · contribs) moved your pages to User:ThinkBlue claiming that you changed your user name. Any clue why this might have occurred? Duh, it's because your signature is ThinkBlue. I guess Socks 01 doesn't quite understand that signatures don't equal new names necessarily. Hmmm...I really don't think any of that adds to his overall career. Maybe it could be changed to just say: "Another Evolution member, Batista, defeated him at Armageddon". The previous sentence mentions him feuding with Evolution (Randy Orton) in particular, so I think it makes sense. Leave all that other stuff about Stone Cold, Goldberg, and Survivor Series. Hello. I noticed that your name was listed as a member of the Wikipedia Project for Academy Awards (at this page: Wikipedia:WikiProject Academy Awards). Are you still interested in, and involved with, this project ... or, in the Academy Awards topic in general? If so, I would like to ask you a question and to solicit your input, advice, and suggestions. Here on Wikipedia, I am most interested in, frequently contribute to, and tend to monitor and edit the various Academy Award articles -- of which there are many. That topic is essentially my primary interest here on Wikipedia. One day recently (about a week ago), I was reviewing / editing / proofreading the various Academy Award articles, as I do pretty regularly. Literally, as I was working on them, an administrator was deleting many, many of the articles -- I believe, seven Academy Award articles in total. I am sure that they went through the proper AfD process. However, I was unaware that they were even being considered for deletion (since they were not on my Watch List). As a result, I was not able to participate in any of the discussion or debate ... and all seven articles were ultimately deleted. The list of articles deleted is here (if you look under Item #3 on my "To Do List"): User:Joseph A. Spadaro/Sandbox/Page09. Needless to say, I am very upset about this and I sincerely feel that these are worthwhile articles, into which a lot of work was placed (by me and by you and by others). If I had my druthers, all seven articles would be un-deleted ... however, I am certain that Wikipedia hardly works that way (i.e., letting my druthers dictate the issue). So, basically, these are my questions to you. (1) Do you agree or disagree that these articles should have been deleted? (2) What, if anything, can I (or you or others) do about all of this? (3) Is there any way to fix this, or am I barking up a wrong tree, which will only result in banging my head against the proverbial brick wall? Will I be spinning my wheels, getting nowhere ... or can this situation change? By the way, the deletion debate is here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of actors receiving six or more Academy Award nominations -- if you can call it a debate. I am really very upset about all of this. Please advise. PS: In a subsequent post, I can offer my specific reasons to un-delete these articles and to counter-argue the consensus reached at the debate. Orton image.
I've recommended that an image of Randy Orton you uploaded be deleted. My concern is that asking a fan site for permission doesn't make the image available since they never stated that the image was their's in the first place. Perhaps the original source could be located somewhere, or if it is indeed a fan's image, then it needs to be explicitly stated.
In either event, since his reign was so short, it would be hard to find a free use replacement, so the image could probably be reuploaded under fair-use guidlines. Mshake3 04:23, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi There,
Sure, you're the first to respond to my request, so yes, I accept. Here's a bit of what I'm interested in, and what I'd like to do:
- Mexico (especially Mexico City) - Montreal - Quebec - Public transit (especially metros/subways, and especially in Mexico City and Montreal)
What I'd like to learn:
- How to use templates (deletion proposal, etc etc) and categories - Wiki formating (when editing, such as now; I can do some of the basic stuff, like clicking on the B button to bold stuff, but I have no clue as to what most of the other stuff is for) - Guidelines for submissions to Commons (how to best pick a license, how to put stuff in categories)
About me: - Native English and French speaker (though my written French isn't up to par) - Excellent Spanish (hasta que a veces cre que escribo mejor en español que en francés) - Live in Montreal - Anything else....?
