Please edit[edit]

Please find the suitable tone for Triology 1: Faye's Journey and Triology 2: Lyra's Destiny in Dream Chronicle Template page. Thanks.

Any changes are welcomed. As long as it is better.

Note: The distributor is Various. Because the games was sold in many other websites. Not just by PlayFirst. Definitely, PlayFirst was the publisher.Silvergoat (talkcontrib) 12:02, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Artist/Writer/Composer in DC's series/games should be removed[edit]

Please read the guideline as Artist(s), Write(s), Composer(s) is/are a notable person/people.

"SomaTone Interactive Audio" in Composer seemed like an audio system, not a composer. Please consider. Silvergoat (talkcontrib) 12:06, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Dream Chronicles 1 Streets Of Wish.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dream Chronicles 1 Streets Of Wish.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:06, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alphabetical Order[edit]

Thanks for switching back to alphabetical order in the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards article; however, it's still not quite properly done: Common convention for spelling in the majority of Wikipedia articles I have seen, especially for award shows, is to alphabetize by surname (last name), and, where there is no surname, by first or full name. Thus, Katy Perry is alphabetized as a P, while Kesha is a K. Lady Gaga is an L, meanwhile, because the stage name has no pretense of being an first name followed by a surname (whereas stage names like Ricky Martin would be alphabetized as an M). Again, this is just common alphabetization practice in lists and award show articles. Take for instance this category taken straight from the 52nd Grammy Awards page:

Best New Artist

  • Zac Brown Band
  • Keri Hilson
  • MGMT
  • Silversun Pickups
  • The Ting Tings

There, Zac Brown Band goes first because it's counted as a B, followed by Keri Hilson who is there as an H and then MGMT who are an M (even though it may look like she's there because K goes before M). You can find the same kind of ordering in pages for individual ceremonies of the Emmy Awards, Oscars, etc. That's just the common way of alphabetizing in English-speaking countries, both in written lists and in real life: If you go to a CD store, you're more likely to find Katy Perry's CD in the P section than in the K one, and even class rosters in schools and universities are organized by surname or last name, not by first name.

A good few of us who work on the VMA articles are working very hard to make them coherent, reliable, organized, and, most importantly, consistent with each other. We're trying to have them be on par with other award show articles, and that is why we try to follow that same conventions. Categories are organized in a manner so taht they are grouped as: General -> Artist -> Genre -> Professional. That kind of organization is more common sense than anything else, but it's still arbitrary. If someone wishes to change to an alphabetical organization of categories, I wouldn't stand on their way--though I do think that it would make the articles more complicated to read through.

Also, the reason why I did a lot of reverts just these past few days (as it seems like you might've looked at my history of contributions) was because some anonymous editor went through most if not all VMA articles and changed the winner of several categories to the wrong one (in most cases he changed the winner to Madonna, No Doubt, or Gwen Stefani for categories where they were nominated but lost). Now if the choices are to go through almost twenty articles and delete six apostrophes per messed-up category and then type in six new apostrophes around the rightful winner, or to simply click on an 'undo' button, I think most people (myself included) would definitely go for the easier, less time-consuming option. But then again, that's just me.

Hope you understand now why it is that I edit the VMA articles the way I do and why I saw it fit to revert your latest edits to the 2010 one. Thus, I also hope that you understand why it is that I'm going to have to edit the 2010 VMA article again after you edited it so that all categories are alphabetized properly. Thanks for taking the time to read this little note of explanation. --Andresg770 (talk) 19:19, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dream Chronicles reception[edit]

Why you removed all the negative reception from Dream Chronicles articles? --Mika1h (talk) 21:48, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have conducted a Good Article review of this article, and unfortunately Failed it. The article falls far short of the standard required of a Good Article. Currently it is only C class. It is generally expected that editors will ensure an article is B class, perform a proofread, and assess it against the Good Article criteria themselves before taking it to GAN. This does not appear to have happened here. Nevertheless, there is much hard work that has been done on the article and you should not be discouraged! It is lengthy, has many good sources, and is illustrated by attractive screenshots (although there are problems with these - see the review). Continue improving the article, and I look forward to you re-nominating after a substantial improvement. - DustFormsWords (talk) 03:23, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Deryck C. 22:48, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a reassessment. Deryck C. 23:23, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad that made you happy. The article is almost certainly a convincing B-class; it's very unusual for anyone to put up a GA nomination that doesn't satisfy B-class already. In the future, it may help to know that anyone is allowed to rate any article to a class below GA (ie. B, C, start, stub), including the editor who wrote most of the article. Keep working! --Deryck C. 11:00, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Moon (EP) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, New Moon (EP), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
