Neartown and Montrose articles[edit]

Hello, Please see Talk:Neartown Houston. I created a sandbox version of the Montrose article for us to work on. I lived in "the Montrose" for about 7 years (in the 80's) before I moved out by the Galleria, so I can help with the history, I guess. :) Thanks, Postoak 17:04, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

South Beach (nightclub)[edit]

The South Beach (nightclub) may very well be notable, but on Wikipedia you have to prove it. Find a source. Also, the article IS an orphan (nothing links to it) so I'm putting that tag back; orphaned articles are candidates for speedy deletion, which I could have done originally but wanted to give someone a chance to link to it.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but to be honest, a local bar probably does not meet notability standards here. Someone will delete it without warning if the article is not improved. Thanks. TAnthony 13:58, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article does meet notability standards. I have talked with a couple of people on here. There has been the consensus that the article DOES meet notability standards. The article one important link the others are internal pages and is small because it is a stub. Also the article IS notable because it is the BEST in Houston according to a reliable source.--Thenderson1 15:20, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is met based on the laser/liquid jet display on the dance floor unique to the club (ref added), as well as being highly rated by two leading and reliable organizations (additional ref added). Postoak 17:08, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, Montrose, Houston, Texas now has a wiki-link to South Beach (nightclub). --Evb-wiki 18:06, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the support you guys.--Thenderson1 22:42, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
