Hey there. Thanks for contributing an article on your brand new programming language. Unfortunately, because it's brand new, we have no way of knowing whether anyone will ever use this, whether it will ever become notable, etc.

One of our key rules is that people should never submit articles on themselves or their pet projects; this is because it's so difficult to be truly objective about yourself.

The article has been removed; if HighFive really does deserve an article, then surely someone else, someone who doesn't know you, will think so. Yes?

Oh, and I agree with you - pharmacy spam sucks. DS 15:09, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi. I noticed your post about HighFive in #esoteric, and managed to get a brief look at it before it was deleted. It looked interesting enough despite being another brainfuck derivative. Unfortunately, the wikipedia is not a good place to post new esolangs (as you've noticed by now), so I would like to encourage you to add it to the Esolang wiki instead. It is a wiki that was started mainly because esolang articles kept being deleted here, and is now probably the most comprehensive esoteric programming resource on the net. --Runeberge 15:59, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Cheers for the link. Now I have plans for global domination... Just kidding :D Tried coding it once I had my interpreter working, and boy it's hard. --Thematrixeatsyou 04:24, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article restore[edit]

I've undeleted the article and moved it to your userspace: User:Thematrixeatsyou/HighFive (programming) - David Gerard 15:02, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That was on my request (I'm also on the Esolang wiki). If you make a statement here multilicensing it to public domain, we can copy it across for you. --ais523 07:07, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Signature[edit]

Hi, please read Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages, particularly the part about transclutions and length. Basicaly please subst: your sig and cut down somewhat on the exessive formating (takes up 3 lines in the edit box!), two seperate links to your talkpage is not nessesary for example. Thanks. --Sherool (talk) 10:06, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To get the talk page link working from your sig setup in the preferences it's easiest to check the "Use raw signature" box. This will turn off the behaviour where the system tries to automaticaly create a link to your userpage (it tends to mess up custum signatures) and give you full controll, for example my "raw" signature "code" is [[User:Sherool|Sherool]] <span style="font-size:75%">[[User talk:Sherool|(talk)]]</span>. Remember to properly close all HTML tags you use otherwise you will get an error along the lines of "Invalid raw signature; check HTML tags.". --Sherool (talk) 08:32, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Esolang AfDs[edit]

While I agree with some of your sentiments here, please stop blaming Xoloz. He's the administrator the closed a Deletion Review of a past mass nomination of esolangs; there was no consensus there, so he's rerunning all the nominations, without expressing an opinion on them (so he doesn't neccesarily want to delete them; he might even want to keep them). --ais523 14:23, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Nonsense of Tawa College[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Tawa College, by Mkdw (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Tawa College provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Tawa College, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Tawa College itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 09:23, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
