  1. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. While the Wikipedia community appreciates your obvious efforts to increase the amount of information on the site, we'd like to point out our policy against original research and for citing sources for the information you provide. This increases the reputation of Wikipedia as a whole and aids in checking the factuality of that article.
  2. Song titles go in double quotation marks; album titles in italics.
  3. Most of the time you should only boldface the first mention of the subject of the article (which would be at the very beginning) and not anything else.
  4. Conjunctions, prepositions and articles should not be capitalised in song and album titles (e.g. "Bringin' on the Heartbreak" and not "Bringin' On The Heartbreak"); see WP:NC#Album_titles_and_band_names.
  5. Please be aware that Wikipedia has a policy of neutral point of view; in other words, don't insert your own opinions into articles (e.g. "Pop diva Mariah Carey" and "[the original is] a highlight of the live shows").
  6. "Trivia" sections should generally be avoided; see Wikipedia:Trivia and WP:NOT#Wikipedia_is_not_an_indiscriminate_collection_of_information.
  7. Try to avoid short, one to two-sentence long paragraphs per WP:GTL#Structure_of_the_article.
  8. I'd also like to say that it really is appreciated that a Def Leppard fan is contributing to the article! (I am a Mariah Carey fan.) Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 18:15, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Dlpic93.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dlpic93.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 16:04, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
