April 2016[edit]

Information icon Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Margot Robbie, did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. 4TheWynne(talk)(contribs) 20:48, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes – please do not try and add 'rowspan' to any WP:FILMOGRAPHY table before discussing in on the Talk page first and establishing consensus for it. In general, most editors oppose use of 'rowspan' as it works against WP:ACCESSIBILITY (see also WP:DTT). --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:08, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I see that another editor has already spoken to use against the use of rowspans in filmography tables, and yet you did just that in Ben Affleck's filmography. Please refrain from doing this in your subsequent edits. Cheers! Krimuk|90 (talk) 02:34, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Ray-fisher.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, I'm Darkknight2149. We only italicise actual film titles, not words like "untitled" or "sequel". Feel free to contact me on Talk Page (or here) if you have any questions. DarkKnight2149 22:48, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Beauty and the beast teaser poster.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted.

Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NeilN talk to me 15:19, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You can be unblocked after the reviewing admin is satisfied you understand and are willing to abide by our copyright and WP:NFCC policies. --NeilN talk to me 15:21, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know I had to give permission for copyright (photo's). I'm sorry if I violated the law. I could ask for to unblock me for editing. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheSomeGuy97 (talkcontribs) 16:59, August 1, 2016

You have received repeated warnings on the issue for almost 2 months. See above. Please explain how you did not know. --Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites ‖ 21:27, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, "give permission" does not fill me with confidence that you understand our copyright and WP:NFCC policies. --NeilN talk to me 21:47, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, TheSomeGuy97. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
