You might find this Huffington Post article that mentions the work of Mark Lye as a consultant on the film useful to expanding the Production section of the article.

Despite[edit]

"Despite its success at the box office, Happy Gilmore was released to "scathing reviews""

Wikipedia editors have a habit of claiming that one thing is "despite" another thing, but it is a dubious line of reasoning ("after therefore because of") that I don't agree with. The source screenrant phrases it slightly differently, "a series of financially successful (if not critically successful) films, and millions of dollars of box office revenue." which is a subtle difference but I hope you can see it is different and a more neutral point of view. Even when the source say things like "scathing reviews" I would try to take the neutral POV anyway.

The source says at one point "Despite receiving some Razzies and some pretty scathing reviews, Happy Gilmore made a huge smash at the box office that year." Regardless, I see what you mean and will try to address it. Also still have to flesh out the casting section a bit, but the development section is largely good to go IMO. I've got to say you have done an excellent job of including details in the production section that most editors would dismiss as trivia, and I would struggle to find an appropriate way to integrate into the article myself.
