Jaguar[edit]

It appears from your edit contibutions to date that this is a single purpose account dedicated to giving undue weight to the present Indian ownership of Jaguar. Please accept that despite your constructive contributions to the discussion on the article's talk page, the consensus is against the your preferred wording and desist from reinstating it. You're right, it is a singe purpose account, because I find myself very interested in Jaguar. Whether Jaguar is Brisih or not has been discussed several times before, on the talk pages of the articles about both Jaguar and Land Rover. Bottom line is that the statement, "Jaguar is Britsh (or even Indian)" can be discussed, but "Jaguar is an Indian-owned automaker" can not. TheGreatKhali88 (talk) 15:21, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, and the article already states that. But please take note of the issue of undue weight; making the point that it is Indian-owned twice in the same sentence, or even giving priority to its ownership over its core activities is putting the cart before the horse. Persisting in doing so when consensus opposes it is considered to be disruptive or even verging on vandalism, and I would hate to see someone who is passionate about the subject ending up being blocked from editing because of this one relatively trivial issue. -- Timberframe (talk) 15:32, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
