Carlos Alazraqui article has incorrect information regarding his filmography[edit]

Hi, can you try to correct the Carlos Alazraqui article, please? His filmography lists cartoons he had no involvement with such as Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Arthur, KaBlam! and South Park to name a few. It should only list cartoons he actually did voices in. I tried to do it but I don't know which cartoons he actually had involvement with other than the ones I mentioned. Scott The Woz moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Scott The Woz, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Re: August 2020[edit]

Hello! As I am relatively not used to the ins and outs of Wikipedia, I'm not exactly sure how I'd go about refuting the claim of sockpuppetry / meatpuppetry, and I don't exactly have any proof to the contrary, but I can say that the user "Cezico" is not me, nor is it anyone I know or am associated with.

Personally, I have abandoned the effort to make the Scott The Woz article presentable for main space, due to the lack of citable sources on the internet regarding him. I feel as if he is a pertinent enough youtuber to be considered notable, but if the moderation team of the site disagrees with me, so be it. I don't have any desire to push my boundaries here, as I rather enjoy editing the site. Considering the lack of primary sources regarding Scott The Woz on the internet as is, I can understand why the article was initially rejected, and there's a reason I left it as is rather than pushing further in hopes of the article being approved. The article isn't suitable for the main space, and honestly, it does seem a tad silly to me that someone would try to repost an unchanged, rejected draft in hopes it'd be somehow not rejected again. I have noticed somewhat of a... fervency, perhaps, from other Scott The Woz fans to insert Scott The Woz-related content into Wikipedia by any means, albeit rather unprofessionally (see edits and reverts on articles of video games such as Madden NFL 08 and Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash) I would personally suspect the attempt by this user to bring my draft into main space was of similar mentality. I don't think I'm the only person on Wikipedia to enjoy Scott The Woz, and I can't say I quite know what the other editor was thinking, or even how they found my draft, but I am somewhat disappointed to be accused of sockpuppetry by virtue of what seems to me, personally, to be just yet another unprofessional Scott The Woz enthusiast trying to give him a prevalence he doesn't have, and frankly might not deserve yet, on Wikipedia.

Now, I'm not exactly sure what must be done on my end to fully refute the accusations, if anything can be done, but I hope this does help, and I would appreciate your help if there's more that I can do to do away with the sockpuppetry accusation on my account. AxoIotI (talk) 08:39, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • As it's only a warning about sockpuppetry, so refuting it isn't something you really need to worry about. Just be sure not to engage in sockpuppetry or meatpuppetry as now you know what it is and that it's not allowed in case you didn't before. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 08:44, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ah, understood! As long as there aren't any negative effects to the warning, then I think I should be fine, right? I don't intend on sockpuppeting or meatpuppeting at all, and I can't imagine I'd be falsely accused twice. Thank you for your help! AxoIotI (talk) 08:48, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

A tag has been placed on File:ScottTheWoz.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for File:Scott the Woz Logo.webp[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Scott the Woz Logo.webp. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

Just a caution about closing a discussion that you are involved in...[edit]

While there should be little to no controversy at Talk:Scott_the_Woz#(Closed)_Requested_move_28_November_2022, do take note that it is better if an uninvolved editor does the close to minimise the opportunity for others who one day have an axe to grind to grind on you. – robertsky (talk) 11:52, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I understand and agree, though I should note I was not the one who initially closed the discussion, it was improperly closed the first time and I adjusted it. Thanksolotl (talk) 23:47, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Scott the Woz lead section[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you reverted my addition to the Scott the Woz article's lead section. Your edit summary states, "most crucial info here is detailed later in the article with sources and isn't really needed in the lead". MOS:LEAD states that a lead section "should stand on its own as a concise overview of the article's topic. It should identify the topic, establish context, explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points, including any prominent controversies." I did not get a concise overview of Scott's web series through the old lead, so I expanded it to touch on key points of the subject that are indeed covered later on in the article, such as fundraising, common topics, and the Scott's Stash channel. That considered, is your reversion of my edit consistent with the MOS? Would a partial removal or revision of my added content have been preferable? I genuinely ask because I often expand on lead sections that I feel are too short. Thanks. — Paper Luigi TC 03:01, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Yeah, I'm always open for feedback, and you bring up some good points. Maybe a revert wasn't entirely necessary, the lead could probably use to be expanded, I just feel it's important to keep things concise and well-sourced with this article. It's had trouble in the past for including nothing but unsourced trivial information, granted source availability for Scott The Woz is somewhat limited.
I feel like the mention of the "Hey all, Scott here" catchphrase may have been what threw me off - I don't believe that element is sourced, nor do I believe it's something crucial to understand the Scott The Woz series to the point where it warrants a mention in the lead. Thanksolotl (talk) 03:14, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the availability of sources for this article is limited. I'll agree that the "Hey all" quote is neither sourced nor crucial, but it is typically included in all of his videos. Would you be open to reinstating the edit without the quote? — Paper Luigi TC 03:59, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Already wrote up a new extended lead section with info supported by sources. If you feel it could be improved or edited, go right ahead!
I feel that if a source were to mention the "Hey all, Scott here" quote it might fit fine somewhere in the article, I'm just not sure it fits in the lead- same with details such as his signature blue border. Thanksolotl (talk) 01:10, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Scott The Woz characters and YouTube episode list.[edit]

Why would you remove such crucial information? You've made it seem like Scott The Woz is just some weird tv show and the current page only vaguely gestures to YouTube episodes. please add back what you deleted HaydenTCEM (talk) 15:36, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @HaydenTCEM! Please don't take my edits to the page personally - I'm not trying to ruin it or anything.
It's important to understand that Wikipedia, as a platform, is very particular. Pages generally require enough secondary sources to warrant the subject's notability, something Scott The Woz doesn't have a ton of. Things like this being buried under tons of extraneous information without sources doesn't help the page- the page was recently at risk of deletion in part because of this. More detail isn't always better- a concise article using info from secondary sources that are available for Scott The Woz is, I feel, the best we can do for now. Info such as in-depth episode and character listings might, in fact, be better suited for a Scott The Woz fan wiki, where notability isn't a concern! Thanksolotl (talk) 17:48, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Scott The Woz already has a fan wiki but thank you! Perhaps one day we can justify restoring the list HaydenTCEM (talk) 03:48, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
