Image:HFC Mall.jpg[edit]

On Image talk:HFC Mall.jpg you say that you own the copyright to this image. If that is the case, you need to license it under the terms of the GFDL. This makes a number of requirements, but principally among them are:

Anyone can use the image for any purpose, commercial or otherwise
Anyone can make modified versions of the image as long as they license the result under the GFDL and credit all prior authors
Anyone using the image must license it to further users under the GFDL and credit all the authors

If you are happy with these conditions, and the others contained in WP:GFDL, then you can edit Image:HFC Mall.jpg to remove the current {{GFDL-presumed}} tag and add simply {{GFDL-self}} to the page instead, and sign underneath it since you are not the uploader. You can also multilicense it under any other free licence, but this is a more complicated approach. -Splash^talk 01:58, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Establishment of The Wikimedia Hong Kong[edit]

The planning of the establishment of Wikipedia Hong Kong as a society has entered the final stage.

From 27th April 2006, every Hong Kong Wikimedians is welcomed to participate in the discussion on the vote on the official name of the chapter. Then a one-week nomination period and a three-week voting period will be held. At the same time, you are also welcomed to join in the discussion on the draft constitution of the chapter.

After an official name is decided, the recruitment of member will be started and the first general meeting will be held (Please refer to the schedule). If you're interested to join, please sign your name on this page so that an estimation on the number of member could be done.
