Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Tenacious D's third studio album, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fair use rationale for Image:TenaciousDBack.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:TenaciousDBack.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 21:06, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

You are very welcome, glad to help out! Ruhrfisch ><>°° 16:25, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Are you sure a template is needed? This band has one album and a yet-to-be-created tour page that probably would not survive AFD on notability. And since this is just a legal pseudonym for a Black Sabbath lineup, this template is highly duplicative of {{Black Sabbath}}. / edg 16:30, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Heaven and Hell

I believe the box is needed. The Radio City DVD cannot be included on the Black Sabbath box as it is not Sabbath. I'm working on creating the tour page myself. Tenacious D Fan (talk) 16:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I have continued with the tour page. What do you think? Tenacious D Fan (talk) 20:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm not a fan of tour pages, but at least this one is well-sourced. Good luck. / edg 20:52, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Heaven and Hell Australian tour poster.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Heaven and Hell Australian tour poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Discography GA

Despite the changes, I simply don't believe discographies in general fall within the normal parameters of GAN. Because they are lists (see Depeche Mode discography), they are not usually considered for GA. --Malachirality (talk) 21:21, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

I have tagged Image:TenaciousDWonderboyUK.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Black Sabbath Story Vol. 1 - 1970-1978, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=4975545. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:44, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Why did you try removing the link to Kabbalahhealing.org website?

Why did you try removing the link to Kabbalahhealing.org website? Did you at least read the articles? The site contains several valuable articles on Kabbalah healing techniques; they are very helpful and scholarly.

What are your credentials? Are you a Rabbi? Do you have articles on Kabbalah published in professional rabbinical journals? I do.

Could you please check what's up with this AfD? There seems to be a technical problem with it and it is not clear which article is actually nominated. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 19:14, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Earthride AFD

You put up the Earthride article for AFD but linked to a previous discussion that has already been closed of a past AFD nomination (result was keep). Do you mean to nominate it a 2nd time? If so, please correct the link. If not, please remove the AFD tag on the page. Thanks. BeastmasterGeneral 22:00, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Dio

I noticed you added a GA tag to the above article for two projects, yet rated it as start for the biography project. GA is a class that can only be achieved through an article passing the GA process, so do not add GA to an article's parameters. Let me also state that the ratings for metal articles are not overly lenient at all since I did most of them, and an article rated Start by the bio project is 110% not a GA for the metal project. Thanks. LuciferMorgan (talk) 12:34, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Alright, fair enough. Good luck with your FLC nomination of their discography. LuciferMorgan (talk) 02:35, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Foo Fighters

Hi! I've just seen your great work done on the FF Discography, I'm hoping to see it soon as a featured list:) Would you be interested in improving the FF article itself, probably up to FA standards? During July/August maybe? It's been on my to do list for a long time, and two editor is always better than one:) Maybe this is the time:) We might get some other FF fans to help too. Gocsa (talk) 13:56, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Stealth Deletion.

Hi Tenacious D Fan.

When you nominate articles for deletion it is important to write "AfD: Nominated for deletion; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName" in the edit summary when you insert the deletion templates. In that way other editors get alerted. You empty edit summary like [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6] and [7] is insufficient for such a drastic step. You can't expect everybody to patrol the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log constantly. At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion there is a guideline. Often users don't react on edits from non-IP editors (not much vandalism from blue texted editors) and a week could be a short time to react. --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 20:19, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Foo Fighters soundclips

Would you be able to add some soundclips to Foo Fighters? Some that would work well for critical commentary I feel are "This is a Call", "Next Year", and "All My Life". WesleyDodds (talk) 04:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

You really don't need to talk about what they do in other bands; that's best reserved for the individual band member articles. I really don't think U2 needs to mention it, either. To give a counter-example, R.E.M., a FA promoted at the same time as U2, doesn't mention the members' sideprojects at all, because they are not relevant to the subject of the article, R.E.M. WesleyDodds (talk) 10:16, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Start with the onesyou absolutely need first, because you have to rationalize each use. if you upload a bunch and don't have a sufficient use for each of them, a lot of work will get deleted. WesleyDodds (talk) 18:52, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Concert tours

No problem. Perhaps I should say "thanks for clearing up after me": I saw a category pop up in my watchlist (as I'd added the "Concert tours" category to it when it was in the orphanage) and your edit made me realise I'd missed the best category. So I fixed some others for good measure! Regards, BencherliteTalk 11:38, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Tour articles

Hello Tenacious D Fan. I am a Rush fan but I have no problem with the Rush tour page AfD noms. I am wondering if you are going to make nom'ing tour pages a little Wiki-side-project? If so perhaps you could set your sights on all the Bon Jovi tour pages, Iron Maiden tour pages etc. Wiki is over-populated with these types of articles. I'd gladly support AfD'ing them all if it came right down to it. Cheers and take care. Anger22 (Talk 2 22) 14:39, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the message - I think you might be confusing me for someone who knows about this sort of topic! Don't see a problem with the category structure in principle, though, and I see that it's now has a parent category, so all is well and good. Regards, BencherliteTalk 21:53, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

I think you're on the right track. Having parent categories is a good touch. Though I'm not sure a change to Category:Videos by artist would be a good move, based on what your intentions seem to be. Having a category of just "Videos" would open a can of worms. We'd have sex tapes, YouTube shout-outs, online interviews and a million other things I can't think of at the moment. Granted, most of those wouldn't have an article, but it does broaden the category to the potential. I think "video albums" keeps things nice and specific. Hope my advice was of some help. Federer vs. Nadal

You mentioned there are no other articles about tennis rivalries, but if this rivalry may go down as the greatest of all time, it certainly makes sense for this to be an article. The title issues will be resolved,(ie Federer-Nadal rivalry) as a possibility. Federer is ranked #1 and Nadal #2, so that is why this name was chosen. Details about their rivalry cannot be posted on any other page without creating problems and excessive details in incorrect places. Neither of their pages need any more statistics, and this page is the best way to detail, read about, and scrutinize their rivalry for anyone interested in tennis. Thanks.
