I have reverted your recent edit to this article. The Askmen reference may be wrong, but it is the best we have. Please provide an alternate reliable source for 1984 and note that it has to be a verifiable source, your personal knowledge is not enough. Before you make any further edits to the article, please read our guidance on conflicts of interest. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 18:10, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not trying to be difficult about this, I am merely following policy about verifiability and I am afraid that blogs are not reliable sources. – ukexpat (talk) 18:14, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can understand your frustration and I am trying to be as helpful as I can, but as a tertiary source, we can only include information that other primary and secondary sources have reported. The Askmen reference is the only verifiable source we have for 1980 so we have to use it. I suggest that you request Askmen to change that page so that we can correct the article, or provide some other published source(s) verifying 1984. It would not be a good idea to e-mail me or anyone else a copy of your passport. There are other avenues open for subjects of articles and you will find them described at WP:BIOSELF. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 18:28, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the link, I have fixed the date in the rest of the article (you missed a couple) and cited your website. Glad we could sort this out quickly. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. – ukexpat (talk) 18:43, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
