I am here when you need me; you have but to call... --Mhking 01:52, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I like the talk page, I'll take it! Gray background, Maroon boxes, and blue links please :D . I'll keep my userpage as-is, I prefer my upfront information about myself. But this is nice, quick links if someone just checks the Talk. As to your RfA, sorry it didn't pass. But hey, you saw what happened with CSCWEM! Thanks for your support for me. Teke 04:00, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and square edges instead of rounded. I'm demanding like that. Teke 04:02, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Even better, green links to tie into my sig. Now I'm all excited... Teke 04:03, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Er, I don't know how to change the borders to square. As for the link colors, I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to. If you're talking about something that automatically makes all links on the page a certain color I don't know how to do that. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 19:25, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You still know more about it than me. Just the original proposal will be fine, much appreciation for the work! Teke 03:37, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coughs I vandalised you :D Teke 05:04, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meh, I left a good summary, it got fixed, and I talked to Curps. I laughed, which is all I wanted to do. I claim no noteriaty, but I think users know I'm not a sock. Teke 06:05, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

and till this moment , no wikipedia adminstrator moved his butt to fix this problem http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Michael_Meunier , when we would have a better adminstration board :( Solitary Copt 18:31, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Swatjester, don't know if this is the right place but I'm still not very sure of Wikipedia process/procedures (confusing!)?? I was one of the users that contributed to building the "United States Navy Mark 12 Mod X Special Purpose Rifle" listing (I did not have a username at the time). I've recently gone back to make a few edits and someone (you?) has reverted my changes out. While a bit of what I wrote about other sources of SPR information/data might have been peripheral (and thus worthy of edit), I did clarify a point in the thread that was currenly inaccurate, namely that certain US SOF groups only use certain iterations of the SPR (there is now clear evidence to dispute that) as well as clarify that NAVSPECWARCOM is now believed to be issuing Nightforce scopes on their SPRs. Given my investment in the original post I'd like to be able to make these fixes too. How can we discuss? Thanks. Task Force 0

Your RFA[edit]

Sorry to hear about your RFA. Trust me, in time, you will make admin. About me leaving, yes, and its my final decision. I am glad that I was seen as a "role model" to some Wikipedians. I'll be on Wikipedia to answer new messages I get but only until Monday when I stop answering these new messages. If you need me afterwards you can try e-mailing me. Good talking to you Swatjester.. -- Moe ε 01:59, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the thanks. I am also sorry to hear about your rfa. Next time will be great, don't worry. --a.n.o.n.y.m t 17:02, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Swat, the RfA was going great when I saw it in the early stages, sorry it didn't work out... I think you can take comfort that most of the oppose votes gave guidance on how to make good, no "lost cause" here in anyone's mind. Nice one, Deizio 17:09, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to hear this. I am in the same boat as you, I have failed (two) RfAs. I know the feeling, but if it makes you feel better mine failed on my birthday! Computerjoe's talk 19:22, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That must have felt nice, the appreciation. But the rejection seemed awful :( Computerjoe's talk 19:26, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's just a wiki. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 19:26, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry it didn't work out. Better luck with your next one. If you need a nominator let me know. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 19:39, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest when I saw your RfA I thought it'd be an easy support but after reading the oppose reasons, and examining them carefully I didn't feel able to this time. I'm sure though by taking the comments on board and doing all you can to fix the issues raised you'll be a great candidate next time- I look forward to being able to support you then. Cheers, Petros471 19:45, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You handled the pressures of the RfA well, Swatjester; that's a good sign for the future. I'm sure you'll try again and make it next time. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:04, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry your RfA didn't reach consensus. I'll be there in support the next time around. You will make a good admin. Best, Gwernol 23:29, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

As I said in my neutral vote (in different words), you are an Admin in the making. It is only a question of a little more experience (which basically means time) and keeping up the good work. In a few more months, I'm confident you'll get it. Cheers, Redux 23:32, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You'll make it, you're a good editor...the new page is awesome! •Jim62sch• 23:34, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re the whole de-bureaucrating thing[edit]

Hi, I never came to thank you for the message you left for me a month ago when I stepped down from being a bureaucrat. Thank you for the things you said, it's good to know there are still plenty of good people about in this project. I do not see myself standing for bureaucrat again anytime soon though who knows what the future may bring! Thank you once again. -- Francs2000 09:57, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A landslide victory for The JPS (aka RFA thanks)[edit]

Hey, Swatjester/archive5, thank you so much for your vote and comments in my RfA, which passed with an overwhelming consensus of 95/2/2. I was very surprised and flattered that the community has entrusted me with these lovely new toys. I ripped open the box and started playing with them as soon as I got them, and I've already had the pleasure of deleting random nonsense/attacks/copyvios tonight.
If I ever do anything wrong, or can help in some way, please feel free to drop me a line on my talk page, and I will do my best to correct my mistake, or whatever...
Now, to that bottle of wine waiting for me...

Thanks for voting on my RFA! I appreciate your faith in me, and was overwhelmed by the positive response to my RFA; for it shows that at least I'm doing something right. :) I've started working to improve myself already, and I hope that next time, things run better, and maybe, just maybe, one day we can bask on the shores of Admintopia together. You voted to delete this article in its last AfD nomination. A user using different IPs is trying to expand the article using origional research and no citations. I reverting his edits back to my own which ask for citations for each of his claims. I am thinking about putting it up for deletion again because it's clearly a violation of WP:NOR and the OR is the only thing really establishing notability. What do you think? --Strothra 01:51, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd vote for deletion again. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 03:38, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Exmormonism[edit]

Howdy. Wondering if you can add Exmormonism to your watch list and weigh in as you can to build consensus. You have a level head, and your work at Joseph Smith, Jr. was much appreciated by all involved. We've been trying to get sources added into the page, but it seems very ancedotal, and some new editors still have the "us versus them" attitude. Lastly, they equate Mormonism with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and academically, they are very different things. I think we've made good progress on an outline, but need exterior help to guide discussion. Your help on controversial issues is great, and your help in this case would be appreciated. I'll pick back up editing next week (have a number of sources I will get info from to add in this weekend), but thought a few more eyes from those outside the Latter Day Saint movement would be a good idea. Thanks, as always. -Visorstuff 00:10, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will do. May take some time before I actually weigh in. Keep me informed. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 20:21, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting a third opinion.[edit]

Hey, could I get your opinion on this dispute? Thanks. -Objectivist-C 06:06, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will take a look. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 20:21, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that was pretty cut and dry..webforums are a no no per WP:RS and WP:ES sections 9 and 10. Further addign to the no no factor are that he states that it's HIS forum, thus violating the vanity clause to WP:ES (note to section 9). There are some exceptions, but generally very few, and only for major forums: the kind that have their own articles about them on wikipedia. For example, on an article about internet memes, fark.com or somethingawful.com forums would be an appropriate link, because a huge number of internet memes spawn there, they're directly relevant, and have a huge following, enough to the point that they meet WP:WEB guidelines and warrant their own article. Thus, they'd probably be ok to put on an article for internet memes. Just about ANYTHING at ezboard.com isn't going to be notable. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 20:30, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's pretty much what I thought, but I figured "Can I get some back-up?" would be a bit leading. -Objectivist-C 23:36, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Need an outside opinion[edit]

Swat, when you get a chance, would you head over to Criticism of Mormonism and take a look at some changes I've made? The article's got some POV issues from both sides; I took a crack at about half the article last night and made some progress, but another editor disagreed and reverted me. You've been pretty good at looking at things from an unbiased standpoint before, and would like to hear from you what you think worked well and what didn't. Thanks. Hi. I noticed your comment about this fellow. Looks like I'm not the only one. He has been going around opposing every Indian-related RFA, FAC, FLC and tried an FLRC which was unanimously rejected.Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 03:48, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Check his talk page/archives. He goes back and subtly edits things to be in his favor. For instance, he changed myself and other users giving him warnings to "A bad day"...he changes him being called out by another user to "an admins harangue" etc. etc. It's ex post facto personal attacks. He's a bad apple through and through. Hell I first came across him because he was removing other users barnstars. His reasoning was "oh that guy doesn't deserve it." ....well maybe, but you don't get to make that decision. He took offense, went nuts etc....he's been blocked at least once or twice. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 04:18, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is a coincidence that you guys are discussing him. I just noticed that you removed a fair use image from his user page. Well there are more. I have told him before of wiki policy on fair use and copyright pages. You may find that somewhere in his talk page categorised as "A troll's melodrama". Project updates
Greetings, Star Wars editors! Deckiller here. It's the first edition of the WikiProject Star Wars newsletter, and yes, it's a semi-ripoff of the Esperenza newsletter. I think it's important to begin with some good news: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and Jabba the Hutt have reached featured article status! Kudos to the editors who helped obtain these achievements!

WikiProject Star Wars is also on a mission to improve Star Wars articles using the following ideas:

  • An out of universe perspective versus an in universe perspective (see Wikipedia:Writing about fiction and the future ammendments to our manual of style)
  • Evolving lists into regular articles
  • Moving excess information and specifics to Wookieepedia (and providing links to Wookieepedia per the "see also" and/or "external links" sections)
  • Enhanced communication amongst WikiProject members
  • More to come

These should provide the basic steps needed to improve and "encyclopedia-fy" the Star Wars series of articles.

Things to do
There are plenty of Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars/things to do. An update to the page is coming very soon, and it will represent the new and exciting changes that Star Wars pages will be receiving!
Out-of-universe versus in-universe perspectives
Although details are forthcoming, I would like to take this time to explain the gist of this concept. Wikipedia has generally agreed that fictional articles should write about the topic from a "real world" perspective, focusing on real world issues and topics, with a section or two for plot synopsis and so on. Jabba the Hutt is a solid character example, and Clone Wars (Star Wars) is quickly moving toward an out of universe perspective.
Article evolution

As many of you know, lists of minor Star Wars-related themes are very common on Wikipedia; however, since these may be seen as violations of Wikipedia policy (and having seperate articles would breach even more policies), the tentative solution is to create general articles on a list's topic (for example, turning List of Star Wars devices into Technology of Star Wars, which allows us to cover everything from hyperspace to comlinks in a general encyclopedic fashion). This can be very tough for some broad topics, so the key is organization. I encourage all editors to list their ideas on the WikiProject talk page. It will be a very difficult — but tangible — effort.

For an example, let me point you to the Final Fantasy WikiProject. Some of us over at that WikiProject decided to turn various components of Final Fantasy X, such as Pyreflies, Yevon, and the backstory — into an article describing the world of Spira. Location descriptions were given a List of locations in Spira article, and the details themselves were placed on the Spira (Final Fantasy X) page. This is a decent template to follow — however, we will need to place priority on out-of-universe, "real life" topics and perspectives in realtion to the article.

Sounds confusing, eh? It won't, for examples will be popping up left and right in the near future!

Signed...

Re:Persian Jews[edit]

I will admit that I know nothing about the individuals in question, I reinserted their names because I generally support "red links" as I think they encourage articles about often overlooked subjects that would not otherwise have seperate articles. However, since I do not know if those people are actually notable I will not reinsert their names again if you add them back.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 08:18, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll remove them then. I have no problem with red links. I just have a problem with redlinks in sections that are supposed to be "notable". Will CC to your talk page. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 08:19, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Syiem's reply[edit]

Please mind your own damn business. You don't own wikipedia and niether does Zafarnamah. I will edit the article as and when I so desire and will never let Zafarnamah ruin the article with his communal, pro Khalistan edits. Regards! Syiem 04:08, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please mind your own damn business and stop behaving as if you own Wikipedia. Before referring other users of civility I suggest you have a look at it again yourself. All of you a sudden you appear from your shithole and term other users' edits as Vandalism. ArjunSingh 23:11, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you talking to me or to Syiem? SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 05:21, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Teke's RfA thanks[edit]

Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke (talk) 17:45, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to F-14 Tomcat[edit]

Wikipedia is not a collection of merely verifiable facts: facts in Wikipedia must also be notable. As such, very few aircraft appearances in media warrant a special mention. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Aircraft/page_content#Popular_culture for guidelines. Thank you for contributing. --Denniss 21:47, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

While I maintain the fact is still notable, I was unaware of the wikiproject guideline and will thus not include the edit. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 11:13, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

Thanks for the speedy revert on my userpage and the note alerting me. I'll keep an eye on this IP for a while. Cheers. --Cactus.man 09:54, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]

Your right, I did forget about that post which i made quite awhile ago. it was a heat of the moment decision and I am truly very sorry. Also, I decided to retract my request for adminship, because I realized that i wasn't ready and would try it again when i have more experience and more edit. Once again, thank you for bringing this to my attention and i am quite embarressed about the whole thing. I'll be more paitent before I make another hollow threat. -ganfon

I appreciate it. That's a good attitude to have, and likely to improve your wikipedia editing experience. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 11:11, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JPD's RfA[edit]

Thanks, SwatJester, for your support at my RfA, which finished with a tally of 94/1/0. I hope I live up to the confidence you have shown in me in my activities as an administrator. JPD (talk) 16:17, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS[edit]

To get access to OTRS you'll need to ask one of the system admins - the two active are Mindspillage and UninvitedCompany. Drop them an email or a talkpage message. Shimgray | talk | 22:13, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, this edit[edit]

Why, may I ask, was this edit reverted? First of all, the "do" is as far as I can tell incorrect English. The writer is not trying to convince anybody, it is a statement of fact. Secondly, "significant" is a loaded word in that context and is therefore inappropriate for Wikipedia. There is nothing wrong with the word "moderate" as it carries a different tone. The reader is reminded that the booster packs do indeed come with extra content, but not something that would imply the addition of a whole new game's worth of content.

Oh, and don't you dare ever leave that condescending sandbox comment on my talk page ever again. Thank you. 69.124.143.230 01:50, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit was considered to be original research and non neutral point of view. However, I'd advise you not to bring an attitude onto my talk page, it does not serve to help your cause. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 08:42, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm obviously not the one with the attitude. How can what I wrote possibly be considered "original research" or even NPOV? I love the booster packs, but that is a loaded word (and if "moderate" is OR, then damn right "significant" is) and at least as NPOV as what I tried to replace it with. It is not OR to try to better write an article. 69.124.143.230 21:57, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How about the word "sizable"? It carries a much better intonation. See? I'm trying to work towards making the article better, instead of just trying to start an edit war , bully an anon user and then putting up a completely inappropriate warning on the talk page of a user who has been around for a while. 69.124.143.230 22:13, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As you cannot seem to show me respect, I'm no longer continuing this conversation. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 23:26, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see, at the very least, you realized what I was trying to say about the "do". Thank you for the revert, I think it helps improve the Battlefield 2 article, even if you think I'm trying to be biased. Granted, I think there is a lot more improvement for computer game articles like the BF2 article, and that article itself. But this is not the first time someone has "mistaken my edits for vandalism". I assume that must mean I am a very biased person; so for the time being, I will cut back on "fixing loaded language" as I call it, and probably refrain from making edits on computer game articles from now on. I also apologize for being stand-offish, but it wouldn't be the first time I was being bullied because of being an anon user, and took your actions as a great slight against me. Usually, I can come to an understanding with the people I disagree with, but in this case I will simply apologize and promise I will try to stay away from you, from now on. Peace. 69.124.143.230 04:07, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Swatjester, your use of the 'test1' template and restoration of that after its removal in this case were clearly improper. The edit the user made was in no way vandalism or otherwise unallowed and thus you should have used a proper edit summary to explain your reversion and absolutely should not have used the test1 template. Improper use of warnings and edit warring to maintain such should not be done. Please try to limit such activities to actual or apparent vandalism in the future. --CBD 19:59, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't follow. Test1 states "Thank you for experimenting with the page Battlefield 2 on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia." How am I wrong to tell him that his edit was reverted or removed? His edit was intentionally POV, and my reversion of his POV was not "edit warring". Please try not to accuse me of such false things. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 15:02, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, referring to my good faith effort to improve the article as "abusive harassment" is hardly proper behavior, I would think. I don't know what your problem is with me CBD, especially since this hasn't been an issue for almost 2 weeks, but you need to stop. A quick look at your contributions shows that you appear to be more concerned with process than actually improving articles, especially in your last 50 edits. How about you start improving the encyclopedia, and stop bothering me. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 15:13, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cute 1 4 u, her IP, and her sockpuppets[edit]

I believe in giving people CHANCES. No human being is perfect. I'm not perfect. You're not perfect. She isn't perfect. There is always room to learn from your mistakes. Who's to say that Cute 1 4 u's going to make the same mistakes again? Until she makes the same mistake again, I think we should back off her.--Edtalk c E 02:34, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm all for chances, but not at the extent of violating policy or advocating it. If you disagree with it, remove her block. If you aren't an admin, request one to do it. But advocating that she evade her indefinate block, which is a blatant violation of policy, is harmful to the project. If it's the consensus of the community that she be blocked, who are you to advocate that she go against that? SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 02:37, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will stop. But this doesn't mean I support her block. I don't have to support it. We all live in a world where the ability to express your opinions is important.--Edtalk c E 03:15, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You don't have to support anything. Please express your opinion as much as possible (just in a constructive way.). SWATJester Ready Aim Fire!

RFC[edit]

Hi, I see you are having problems with this user also known as User:Devin79, viz constant reverting and putting in unsourced pov material on the Special Activities Division page. I have been having the same problems with him onthe Provisional Irish Republican Army and related pages for nearly a year now andhave had enough. perhaps you would be interested in contributing to a RFC about this user? You can see my reasoning here.

Thanks Jdorney 09:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you submit it I'll add to it. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 12:14, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Jdorney 12:16, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that, he appears now to have been blocked indefinitely. (Ding Dong...). I guess you were right to say that my intervention on his IP talk page were not especially civil. I hold my hands up on that one. In my defence, all I can say is that I was sorely provoked and at least I was addressing the issues. Anyway, thanks for your help. Jdorney 18:39, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No prob. RFC's bring fighting. RFAr's are even worse. I thought it best to end this swiftly and decisively. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 18:42, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re:yay[edit]

Thanks, glad to be back. :) — Moe Epsilon 04:05 September 12 '06

please reconsider your vote against my-boi i think it is very important since it made national attention in the media, read the article on james barnett the 18-yo who was expelled from his conservative high school for creating the website. the website will soon be joined with xy.com an even more noteworthy website with millions of registered users somthing that makes it very notable, i think this is premature. why did you vote for delete? Qrc2006 21:22, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

...[edit]

That wasn't a direct external link, as it was placed in the reference section of the page. I also fail to see how that YouTube video of Diddy isn't a "reliable source." Are you implying that the person in the video is a Diddy imposter? Lmz00 02:44, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Myspace is not considered a reliable source. Neither is Youtube. Thanks. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 03:11, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly fail. :) Lmz00 03:41, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thank you, Swatjester, for voting on my RFA, which passed 95 to 1. Now that I have the mop, I hope I can live up to the standard, and be a good administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. —this is messedrocker (talk) 18:51, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Konstable's RfA thanks[edit]

Hi Swatjester, thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which was closed as successful last Wednesday with a unanimous support of (47/0/0). I will do my best to help keep Wikipedia clean, green and vandal free. Once again, thank you! --Konstable 14:45, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Belated thanks[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA. Consensus to promote was reached, and I am now an administrator. I'll be using the tools cautiously at first, and everyone should feel welcome to peer over my shoulder and make sure I'm not doing anything foolish. --RobthTalk 03:53, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Iraq War Page[edit]

There's an ongoing series of contentious changes between KevinPuj, Mr. Billion, and me, along with discussion on the discussion page, and you come along and revert my last change and mark it minor, with no comment on the discussion page? What gives?

a) I reverted per edit sum regarding your not having discussed it on the talk page. b) your edit doesn't really have anything to do with the Iraq war. German trauma over WWII has no apparent direct relation on the Iraq war, and does nothing to strengthen the article. c) the minor marking is an automatic byproduct of using god-mode lite to revert your edit. Sorry. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 07:20, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Er, I did discuss it on the talk page, though it's in a section with a weird title ("I really do not like this" - not my title, but I wasn't sure what the policies were on retitling talk page sections). I originally had a reference to this part of the talk page in my edit summary, but I inadvertently lost the edit summary in the process of merging with another simultaneous edit. It's not really "my edit" so much as retention of information that had been in the article for a while and that I found relevant and interesting, though I'm coming to see that the specific wording may be unfortunate. Would you be willing to take a look at the discussion on the talk page, including KevinPuj's and my reasons for thinking that the issue is relevant and notable, and let us know there what your views are after reading that? Warren Dew 17:14, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have the time right now to bring myself completely up to speed. It appears that the situation is not as I first observed it, so I apologize for any confusion my revert may have caused. Since I can't spend the time to work out a solution to this impass, I'm just going to stay out of it. If for some odd reason this is still an issue by Oct. 1st, then I'll have time to come look at it, but until that point I'm just going to step back and let you and the other editors work it out amongst yourselves. Sorry, I just have some real world work/education priorities that are taking up too much time. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 23:01, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding you're vote for the deletion of James Barnett I think that you should reconsider, the page has many links to the mainstream media where he is mentioned, this clearly makes him fall under the WP:BIO guidelines, "Persons achieving renown or notoriety for their involvement in newsworthy events," please reconsider.Cholga 17:22, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou[edit]

Hey Swatjester, I just wanted to say thanks for supporting my recent RfA. It passed with an amazing final tally of 160/4/1. I really appreciate your support and I will do my best to ensure that I don't let anyone down. Cheers, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 19:46, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your mission, should you choose to accept it[edit]

Hi Swatjester, The page Pseudo-terrorist needs beating into shape and I think you might be the man to do it. The term isn't one I'd heard before, but a google search suggests that some people are using it. It might be better renamed or merging into some other page but I don't know to where.
