Swami Budhpuri Ji[edit]

In response to your question about why the article was deleted and what you can do, it was deleted because there were no reliable third party seconday sources establishing that the subject of the article was notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. In fact, almost all of the sources could ultimately be traced back to protional material originating from supporters of the subject, and the remaining sources were not good enough to establish notability. The article was clearly intended to promote the Swami and his school of yoga, and as such was little more than spam. It also did not help that the people who wrote the article acted dishonestly during the discussion for deletion by sockpuppeting and meatpuppeting.

There is very little you can do short of finding solid and reliable independent third party sources which establish the notabilty of the Swami. Without several such sources, there is no way that the article will be allowed. Any sources that are ultimately traceable to the supporters of the swami are simply not good enough. This includes the newspaper particles about events like yoga camps and lectures, as well as the self published books.

If you are a supporter of the Swami, it would be best if you did not write or edit anything about him on WP as that would be a potential conflict of interest. WP is not here to help promote the Swami or his cause. Before you do anything, make sure you carefully read the following policies and understand them very well: WP:V, WP:NPOV, WP:RS, WP:NOT, WP:NOTABILITY, WP:COI and WP:SOCK.

Hope this helps. Dominus Vobisdu (talk) 18:24, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I'll be glad to explain anything you don't understand. Good luck! Dominus Vobisdu (talk) 18:39, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
