Thanks for your message. The information that you give about the legal exoneration, and Nixon suing for libel is very interesting. Do you have a reference? If so, it'd be great to add it to the article. You're quite right that just because someone has made a claim, it is not necessarily worthy of inclusion. However, Farrell is quite a notable commentator, and I feel that including his claim is appropriate. That said, it should probably come with a note about his political bias (he give one himself in the introduction to the book I cited). Farrell covers some of the history of Northern Ireland in greater depth than other sources, and often gives good quotes to support his analysis, so I often find his work useful for references, but as he makes little attempt at neutrality, it's very important to keep an eye on claims like this, to stress that they are a view, rather than unquestioned truth or legal fact.
