Re: Siyavash Motamedi[edit]

You wrote: "I was just wondering why my edits of Siyavash Motamedi keep getting reverted. 95% of the "facts" stated on his page are false. He only played minimal basketball throughout middle school. I'm just trying to delete uncited sources and help the wikipedia project. Let me know what I can do to do that within the spectrum of wikipedia." on my ER page. I have removed that as it was not a review- please put messages on user talk pages. I reverted your edits because they appeared to remove text from the article. If you are going to do this, please include an edit summary so we know what you are doing. If you have any problems, contact me here. I would agree with your comment on the talk page: This appears to be an article about a non-notable individual. Interesting person, I am sure, but I find few boring folk. I have nominated it for a speedy delete. I have added below a block of links that I have found useful, that someone gave to me some time back. I hope you find it so as well. All the best. sinneed (talk) 21:01, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, a rather rude note from a much more experienced editor rejecting my nomination led me to review. I think that speedy deletion was not the best route for this article. Let us see if anyone has anything useful to say. The creating account has not been active since May, perhaps he or she will come back and improve things a bit.sinneed (talk) 00:37, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the contrary, you seem to be doing fine.  :) No one is perfect, and no one expects us to be. Well that isn't true, but the ones who expect that are showing their own imperfection. :) I am sure Oliverperson and I don't expect perfection. :) All the best. sinneed (talk) 22:19, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is there *ANY* of this you can give me a citation for? I am guessing you know a bit about it, as the article attracted your attention. Is there anything in the press, or anywhere on the web, that relates to this individual? I can't get any hits at all, except for copies of the Wikipedia information, and dead links to a personal web site.sinneed (talk) 00:35, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

:::Unless this article is terribly offensive, I would like to see it stay in place for a while. I hacked out most of the obvious nonsense. There isn't any clear indication that he played roundball in HS... but the local paper claims he went out for football 1 year... but those sorts of web databases are not notoriously accurate. Do we really need to kill it right away? Or can we just let it rot a couple of months? I have it on my watch list and if it doesn't get better I'll be happy to take it through the AfD process. Changed my mind.  :) All the best.sinneed (talk) 04:45, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
