Well I've just signed up to Wikipedia so this page doesn't really contain much. I'll do a bit of reading and learn how to make this page fancy like the rest of you guys seem to do.

Re:Syrnia[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Obviously based on your recent edits, you may be unfamilar with both our deletion policy and our deletion process.

First of all, the version of "Syrnia" I deleted way back on 19:53, 2 September 2005 (UTC) qualified under our speedy deletion criteria because it really only consisted of an external link — there was almost no content.

About a week later, a real article on the subject started to develop. Then it seems that at 14:55, 18 January 2006 (UTC), someone decided to propose its deletion by posting an entry on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. In other words, this user felt that the "Syrnia" article fell into one of the categories listed on Wikipedia:Deletion policy#Procedure for deletion.

You may find the deletion proposal discussion itself on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Syrnia. Because there was no opposition, the admin processing it, in this case Drini, deleted the "Syrnia" article.

By the way, here are a few good links for newcomers:

Re:Syrnia-Thanks[edit]

Just thought I'd say thanks, and I'll leave this here so I can reference those links at a later date to help me learn how to edit pages and create them properly. :-)

  • I think the main problem with that article, if I interpreted the deletion discussion correctly, is it did not cite sources, especially reliable sources. So if you can do some research and include some sources, it will be harder for it to be deleted again. Good luck. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 20:27, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
