Your RfA[edit]

I didn't realize you withdrew when I added my vote (which therefore was reverted). Keep up the work you are doing and expand into policy discussions and other areas as editors have suggested and you will make it in the future. Don't let it get you down, a promotion after three months is still rare. Cheers, NoSeptember talk 13:17, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Same here. I was basically supporting you for the same reasons as last time- what I thought then still stands, and unless you do something totally stupid I can't imagine it changing! Petros471 14:29, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA[edit]

Hi Benon. Just a quick note to thank you for your support in my RfA, which recently passed 62/13/6. I will do my very best live up to this new responsibility and to serve the community, but please let me know if I make any mistakes or if you have any feedback at all on my actions. Finally, if there is anything that I can assist you with - please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers TigerShark 03:44, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't want to be a snitch but you informed this user on April 1 that their Image:1237.jpg did not have a copyright status and would be deleted. They have deleted the copyright notice. It isn't the first time that they have done something like this. Maybe you can do something about it? (Pally01 11:19, 4 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]

ahh its ok for them to delete it because theyve now added copyright infromation, thanks foe telling me though :) Benon 23:03, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Permission to use IRC logs.[edit]

Hey there, I was wondering if I had your permission to publish some of your IRC chat on Wikipedia, specifically:

<removed>

I previously had these up in accordance to m:IRC Channels, as the channel you said it in #vandalism-en-wp did not have a rule against logging visible on a related website or on WP:IRC and related pages. However, despite the fact that the logs were related to a ongoing discussion, and they were trimmed to size, a administrator with personal involvement to the issue deleted the content. As such, I am seeking permission of use from every user I am quoted. Your cooperation would be appreciated.

Thanks, Avillia 19:49, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A landslide victory for The JPS (aka RFA thanks)[edit]

Hey, Spliffy/Archive 3, thank you so much for your vote and comments in my RfA, which passed with an overwhelming consensus of 95/2/2. Athens As I already explained to the last person who reverted my edit, whom may i add i recieved an apology from. It is inaccurate to call cork the Athens of Ireland. As someone who has lived in Cork, I have never heard it called that. A google search for "The Athens of Ireland" returns more hits for Belfast then for cork. What makes you think im a vandal anyway. Subst[edit]

When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. --Cyde Weys 02:26, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Benon, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. VandalProof 1.2 Now Available[edit]

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:07, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there some reason you added edit summaries to my talk page? Why did you add them? I have perfectly good use of edit summaries. ForestH2

respnded on their talk page

Ok

Read my last coment on Shanel's page. I barely edit pages, DA edits. I came to an agreement with the Batman and DCAU related topics, that I will respect. DA is the ohe who edits Dr. Who, not me. I comprehend my mistakes, an I'm backing down a little. I feel the way DA harasses me is unfear, I don't even know what pages does he contribute on, notice how so many of my edits are edited over by him. Who else gets as many DA edits as me. I'm rude sometimes, I don't like that, but even tho I really feel anger and hate toward DA, notice how I just stand by my edits rather than doing what he does. I mean I could go over his contribs and erase, rv, or modify his edits with arguably justified reason, but I don't. Somehow, I don't wanna become what bother's me the most, a harraser.

People from Episodes of Justice League Unlimited granted me permission to create articles per episode on the talk page, But DA redirected all 12 articles I created.

I also asked time to develop the Animated Seres Batman article (up until june 25 i Just proposed) before any voting on merging or whateva, and knowing that DA put a merge tag. He is just mean, and disrespectful.

Notice how even people who complaints about my actions dont rv me. Only DA, and he doesn't even believe in his edits. He redirected Batman subarticles when he actually proposed them and created the equivalent Superman sub-articles.

I know I don't WP:OWN, I encourage people to edit me, but I almost only get DA's rv's, movings, or erasings, and to every single thing I do. I pointed the pages I created, not because I consider them mine, but because, it's obvious that those pages were not on DA's watchlist. He could have only learned about them through my contribs. You get me. As you can check, I don't even go to DA's talk page, but sometimes I feel he makes me look bad in front of editors who don't know me yet. One of DA's tecniques is to do what the first person complaining about my edit proposes on the article's talk page, making it seem like there are several people against me, even though the first complainer didn't revert (it means the person is waiting to converse about the issue rather than blind reversing me). I feel anger and frustration. Please, help me all you can. I remember you were the first one to notice DA bullied me in the past, I beg you to use that special sensibility once again to investigate the situation and back me at least alittle, I promese I will stop calling DA thing or names and keep keeping myself away from his talk page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by T-man, the Wise Scarecrow (talkcontribs) .

Uh, and I reread your last message, you area a good pal, cool people like you make others wanna do the effort. Thanks.--T-man, the wise 19:53, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Funny thing, DA wrote this "despite what you think and tell Benon", but neither of us adressed him. Do you read between lines? I means who the hell cares what other people say about himself that much to go sneaking into private (kinda) conversations. I myself not only don't care, but also don't give a damn. What's the big surprise anyways?

That's the exact same thing I've always been complaining about almost since he started that weird thing he has about me. He is so predictable, I've not once complained or ask for advise about the situation to a friend or an administration without him whining right after. And I mean right after, 30 minutes means he could be dead or ill. I once hid an indirect insult in a very boring sub-page I have, and he found it. I mean, what the hell? "Monitores-me-through-his-watchlist"-my ass. And the weirdest thing is that he admitted it. And the redirects he made in JLU episodes, don't they have cable in Canada? That amount of work would be expected from having a creative project, or if it pays good, but just to annoy a foreing irritable guy? What's wrong with him. I can say I'm learnig more and more English and writting skills, that benefitt is all worth, but how does he benefits? What's wrong with him? I know Canadians, they are the nicest people in the world, it's like friggin' Disneyland over there with all the happy little people, but what happened with this guy? Maybe it's because I'm normal enough to not go through his contribs, but I don't recall any single paragraph written by him.

Sorry to get it out on you, Benon, but it's either this or a personal attack and don't think that's what I want to be anymore.--T-man, the wise 06:32, 2 June 2006 (UTC) The quote is from my talk page, check it in my talk page history If you care, I alfeady erased his comments, since they always bother me every time I se them.[reply]

Benon, I've made some comments on T-Man's page, even though it may have been unwise and has further angered him (and which he will likely delete asap). I really don't want this feud to continue and will try to give T-Man some space, knowing that you will be watching him for his edits. Just thought you should know. And I am not some crazed guy out to mock and disrupt his life, regardless of what he says ot thinks. I'm just a normal guy, married, a lawyer, trying to be part of the wikipedia community in my limited free time. I acknowledge that sometimes I get carried away and hence the caustic descriptions for reverts and edits. Anything you can do to make him believe that I mean no ill will would be very helpful. Thanks. Dyslexic agnostic 06:23, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

I actually kinda feel sorry for the guy. He has ofered the olive branch many times ans then kept his behavior. It's like saying we're cool and we are friends, but he still blind reverse me, erese stuff, move things, etc. What for? Besides, I don't like him as a person. He is no bud material, you know, he doesn't know how to chat, and I'm not interested, anyways.

I'll just became more strict about the not talking to him rule, from now on I'll also stop talking about him. That'll kill him. Hahahahah. I'm a 100% sure he doesnt harass anybody the way he follows me around, I think I'm sure (if not, the other stalkees and me could form a united front. We'll call it U(r).F.A.D.A' hahah). I think he has a crush on me or someting, he has to be very lonely to do what he does(never contributing with material, only editing to call the attention). I hope he gets a girlfriend...or whateva' he prefers, "not that thee is anything wrong with that" (Seinfeld) ...Or a job. I know, I know, that was kinda mean, but I'm not talking about him ever again (only do it via e-mail to administrators). After all, as the Joker said someone said: If you got to go, go with a smile. Hahahah, I feel happy. Thanks for the support, man--T-man, the wise 16:37, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Benon, I see that our acquaintance T-Man continues to harbor a mistrust of me, wheras my intentions are benign. He will listen to you as you have formed a friendship with him... could you at least suggest to him the possibility that a ceasing of hostilities with me may be mutually beneficial? I mena no ill will and want to return to my early good rapport with T-Man. Thanks for any help you can supply. Dyslexic agnostic 06:02, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

thx[edit]

hello, thankyou for finding the problem i had with my ip blocked and fixing it! now i can continue editing joyfully. Klaw 03:54, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Teach me to use the sandbox. I've tried several times, but I still dont get how it works. Maybe it can be done in Batman the animated Series talk page or something, because I'd like to share the project as if it were not mine. I want everyone to be able to edit it freely.

I didn't meant to be uncivil, believe it or not, this time I don't even distinguish where was I uncivil. I'm not denying it, just stating that I fail to see it. Maybe it's because of my Spanish style or something. Or maybe it's because I talk a lot, I dunno. I'm also trying to avoid sarcasm and use more "haha" expressions and sight faces ;S.--T-man, the wise 20:12, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I need an advocate.[edit]

I need an advocate that will walk me through the medation application.

I am trying to get the following added to the Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics.

Advantages of MWI

If Hugh Everett's theory was just another interpretation of Quantum Mechanics it would have no followers, especially since it proposes the existence of countless other unverses which theoretically can never be observed. Because it is not falsifiable it seemingly violates Popper's criteria for a good scientific theory. The reason it has so many adherents is because it offers numerous advantages over the Copenhagen Interpretation, among which are the following

1. Quantum mechanics becomes a deterministic theory making it more compatible with the theory of relativity and all other physics theory to date which are all deterministic. The Coppenhagen Interpretation introduced indeterminacy and randomness into science. Aside from the Coppenhagen Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics there is no scientific theory that includes indeterminacy or randomness. Einstein particularly objected to this aspect of the Coppenhagen Interpretation. In response to it, he said, "God does not play dice with the universe." 2. It eliminates the "measurement problem." 3. It eliminates Von Neumann's "boundary problem": where to draw the line between the micro world where quantum mechanics applies, and the macro world where it does not. Shortly before his death in 1953, Albert Einstein wrote: "Like the moon has a definite position whether or not we look at the moon, the same must also hold for the atomic objects, as there is no sharp distinction possible between these and macroscopic objects." 4. It eliminates the special place for an observer and human consciousness. 5. It restores objective reality of the universe between measurements. Shortly before his death, Albert Einstein also wrote: "Observation cannot CREATE an element of reality like a position, there must be something contained in the complete description of physical reality which corresponds to the possibility of observing a position, already before the observation has been actually made." 6. The wave-particle duality paradox evaporates. It simply and naturally explains the double-slit experiment. Richard Feynman said, "[the double-slit experiment] has in it the heart of quantum mechanics. In reality it contains the only mystery." David Deutcsh wrote: ". . . the argument for the many worlds was won with the double-slit experiment." 7. Schrodinger's Cat paradox evaporates.

Based on the above advantages, it seems Einstein's main objections with quantum mechanics had more to do with the Copenhagen Interpretation, than with quantum mechanics itself[citation needed]. While MWI does not quite generate the kinds of worlds necessary to justify the anthropic principle, it is a step on the way to Stephen Hawking's No Boundary Proposal and Max Tegmark's All Universe Hypothesis which do justify the anthropic principle[citation needed].

RfA thanks![edit]

Thanks for voting!
Hello Spliffy/Archive 3, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RfA. I am pleased to inform you that it passed with a final tally of (119/1/3), into the WP:100, so I have now been cleared for adminship and will soon be soaring above the clouds. I was overjoyed, shocked, and humbled by the tally, and, most importantly, all the support. Thank you. If there is ever anything you need, you know where you can find me. Take care.

See you on IRC man. --Pilot|guy 22:20, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:207.44.156.107[edit]

At User talk:207.44.156.107, you said you scanned the ports of the IP and it was no longer an open proxy. However, that is incorrect; it's a web-based proxy, which shows on a port scan as a normal web server (which it is). Trying to open that IP address on a web browser goes directly to the proxy's URL input form in this case; sometimes, you get a cPanel page, an error page, or something unrelated. It's not easy to find the URL entry form sometimes, which is why I always hide it on the block summary (it's visible on the block log). I have just reblocked it; in the future, try to find out if the IP belongs to an ISP or a webhosting company (if it belongs to a webhosting company, it's almost always a web-based proxy), and check for signs of a web-based proxy (web server on the IP, a URL hidden on the block log). --cesarb 16:14, 27 June 2006 (UTC) response on their talk page Benon 22:54, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me do the list of episodes? Here are some official guidelines:

Wikipedia:WikiProject List of Television Episodes, Wikipedia:WikiProject Television episodes, you can become a member of this by puting this in you page {{User TV Single Ep}}.

Can I add you to my messenger?, you could advise me how to reply to antagonic comments whenever you have the time.--T-man, the wise 01:21, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
