How you been nik? I've been working on the riskval page in my userspace and am coming close to finishing a first draft. I scoured the net for third party resources and wrote it in a neutral perspective. Reading through the requirements for organizations I tried to follow all of the guidelines but I'd appreciate if you could review the top and history section to make sure I'm doing everything alright. I'm still working on the product section but those will only be 1-2 sentences each so they shouldn't be problematic. Heya. RE: this article, I see you are adding references directly to the references section. This is now how this should be done... References should be added in support of statements within the main text itself, as I did with the first one you supplied. This is to satisfy Wikipedia's verifiability policy. Thanks for the heads up Nik! Right now I'm just aggregating all the information I need on these guys to write the article later since I don't have much time this morning. I did notice though that you fixed up the first link that I posted really quick. Is there a quick way to convert links into wiki-standard cited references? Also before I even started writing the article I read up on notability. There is plenty of reason to have this company included on Wikipedia, but are the three articles like these sufficient for the notability requirements? Yes, there is a way. I use a tool called Reflinks. It converts <ref>www.foo.com</ref> into a proper Cite Web template. This page has a bookmarklet you can just drag into your bookmarks so you can just click that and it processes the refs properly. This prevents WP:Linkrot which is a Bad Thing! I'd leave the notability tag there for now until you're done with the first proper draft of the article, it's somewhat difficult to tell with the article currently being so short. By the way, did you read WP:N or WP:CORP? The latter is more appropriate for your article. Cheers, Nikthestoned 15:04, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Draft articles[edit]

Hi again. Saw the comment you added re: the speedy deletion of your article. Thought you may like to know that you can create draft articles in your own userspace which you can work on at your leisure (so long as you don't infringe any copyright or turn the page into an advert) to build up a credible case for notability etc. You could simply stick it on your userpage or, as a subpage like this: User:Spideygoturback/Draft1. I appreciate all the help Nik. You're really making this whole process much easier for me. One thing: I don't see the point of the {newpage} tag at all if they'd rather have it drafted in userspace. It makes complete sense to have drafts there but then why even have the option of a newpage tag that gives the illusion that I'd be safe drafting in the full space of wiki? Whatever. I was ignored and my stuff wasn't userfied but it wasn't much. Most of the time I had spent on it was learning so it's easy to redo now that I know what's going on. I appreciate all your help :D
No worries Spidey. The {{newpage}} tag is for people who have created many-an-article before and are actively engaged in putting it together... It's not really for your purposes. Given this is your first article it's going to take you longer to get it put together, to ensure it's not removed for the same reason you need to make sure it meets these notability requirements before moving it into Wikipedia-a-proper. Also, any reason you chose that admin to request the userfy? From his contributions it looks like he's not been online for a while - probably why you've yet to receive a response! This is embarrassing but I can't find the previous userfy request I wrote or the admin I wrote it to. I the page that lists people who can do that and I didn't see Tyrol there so I just picked some random admins. Out of the first three I clicked he had the most recent activity so I picked him haha. I just checked your Contributions and found it there! I'd always ask it of the person that removed the page; if they won't do it they'll at least know who will! If they've the time to delete it I can't see restoring it being an issue.
