I have reviewed the article you nominated. The only problem mainly holding it back is original research. Good job on the article; I have given you seven days to address the concerns, and the I will pass or not pass it off. Good Luck. By the way, I have Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Superman Returns at WP:GAN. I am not saying you have to review them, but it would be really nice if you did. Otherwise, good luck with Moonraker. Contact my on my talk page if you have any questions or concerns. Cheers. Wildroot (talk) 03:50, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes I am fully aware of exactly what needs to be done. The soundtrack section I knew would be problematic as I can't find much web info on it at all. I'll probably have to reference a lot of it to the film credits itself. I'll try to get in it shape. Sorry I haven't had much time to edit OHMSS but I have a lot on at the moment. Did you consider changing the collaboration to monthly periods to allow more time to contribute and realistically promote to GA? Count Blofeld 11:37, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Excellent. Funnily enough I managed to find a Telly Savalas look alike baldy guy to pose as me! Count Blofeld 11:45, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Check out Moonraker now. If I have time I should be able to expand it further by notes from the DVD and give it another copyedit. It should be just about GA standard now Count Blofeld 14:08, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Never Say Never Again trivia/gaffes

Thank you for responding to my comments on Talk:Never Say Never Again. I am sorry you seem to have taken them as a personal attack. I guess some of my frustration with the disheartening pervasiveness of mere dismissive deletion (not just by you, by almost every other contributor to WP it seems) seeped through. It is actually a frustration that has been building for weeks if not months, and I am getting to the point where I am seriously considering giving up Wikipedia as just too thankless a resource to continue pouring my heart into :( so I apologize if my wording was a tad unconsidered. For the record, though, I should like to correct a few misconceptions on your part (1) I was never the original author nor even a contributor at any time to the gaffe list I (very briefly) went to bat for; (2) I made exactly one edit consisting of restoring the removed information once, so I submit the implied accusation of edit warring does not hold water; (3) I tried to rescue the relevant section specifically because its removal seemed unjustified to me (as I explained in detail and with quotes from the relevant policy guidelines on the Talk page) and because the removal struck me as symptomatic of a larger issue I have been feeling increasingly frustrated about. As a courtesy, I thought you might like to know that I have tried to frame my thoughts on this issue here. You will probably disagree with my take on the issue, but I wanted to make it clear that to me it is far more general and far-reaching than just one list of gaffes in one article. Live and Let Die (novel) has been nominated for a good article reassessment. Articles are typically reviewed for one week. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are here. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 13:20, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Quantum of Solace

Why did you remove Quantum of Solace from the list of James Bond books? It has just as much place on there as For Your Eyes Only or Octopussy and the Living Daylights. May I remind you that the latter was also a compilation of previously published short stories just as QoS is. Emperor001 (talk) 14:54, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

I have left a reply at the James Bond WikiProject page.  The Windler talk  20:18, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

WP:AUS 200 GA drive

Hi SpecialWinder. Per last year, we are now closing in on another milestone for AUS, with 178 current GAs. Well, since you participated in the GA drive last year with the Chaser APEC pranks and have been active on Australian articles, this is another rallying cry to WP:AWNB/A. YellowMonkey (bananabucket) 04:47, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Q OF S

Yes thats exactly what I thought, too much action. As I said I missed some of the more traditional Bond ingredients. Yes I know the water plot was a bit crap, but Craig again I thought was great, I think he would be even better if the film was more balanced. I will try to edit the Man with the Golden Gun if I can, being one of my favourites because of the location but unfortunately my DVD is not working so I haven't been able to watch the documentary yet. I'll promise to try to expand it later in the week though. The Bald One White cat 11:23, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Yep sorry, my DVD doesn't even work on the PC. It is one of my favourites as well. Just added animage to Rudolf Seiters. I thought he looked familiar. He looks very much like the guy in the San Francisco town hall in View to a Kill. Although if I remember correctly he had considerably less hair on top. You know, the guy that Christopher Walken shoots dead at the desk. LOL The Bald One White cat 12:32, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Merry Christmas

Hello SpecialWindler! I just wanted to wish you and your family a merry Christmas! May this Christmas be full of great cheer and holiday spirit. Have a great day and a wonderful New Year, from The Bald One White cat 11:31, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I'm doing the GA review on On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I'll be putting my comments here: Talk:On Her Majesty's Secret Service (film)/GA1. You can ask me any questions at any time. Regards. SilkTork *YES! 02:38, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

On Her Majesty's Secret Service hasn't met GA criteria. I have given reasons and suggestions for improvements on the talkpage: Talk:On Her Majesty's Secret Service (film)/GA1. SilkTork *YES! 23:55, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Why did you nominate this for GA, the article is still in a really bad state!!! It was obvious! The Bald One White cat 12:26, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

The article Quantum of Solace you substantially contributed to has been passed as a good article . Well done! SilkTork *YES! 12:38, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

On User talk:SpecialWindler/Sandbox4/test, I have a trancluded template. You'll notice the height of the rows do not wrap around the text, and seem to be a particular height. Why is this??

The template code is on User talk:SpecialWindler/Sandbox4/test

Thanks for your help in advanced.  The Windler talk  03:17, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Hmm, no idea. You could ask around, maybe at the help desk or something. No one on the help channel seems to know anything about templates. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 03:56, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Hig, I've used this template you made in one of my articles, but I noticed that the print publications such as Nintendo Power and GamePro are not italicized as they should be. I attempted to solve this on my own, but it doesn't look like my edits are doing anything. Would you know how to solve this? Thanks! --TorsodogTalk 03:02, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

When I went to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (which I believe is the article you reference), I notice that Nintendo Power and GamePro are italicised whereas the others are not. When you edited the template, you only made those two reviewers italicised and not the others. Sometimes with large templates, such as this, the Wikipedia server is slow to re-update the template's transclusions or it might even be your own system, sometimes the internet will simply re-hash the page as it was before if the code was the same. Now considering that, and that you haven't changed the article page (so it's the same) and that the template has changed, the template on the article page may not seem to change. Because I've never been to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, it loaded the page fully updated, so I saw the changes. That (in my opinion) is the probable problem. I don't have an actual solution, but a labourous way of fixing it is to change the code of the template in the article. eg. Add a space somewhere. Or put the template on a sandbox and you will see the results, I hope that help's you.  The Windler talk  04:36, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry to barge in. I've noticed that after changing templates and navboxes, I've often had to purge pages that include them to see the changes. Try purging the Rogue Squadron page to make the edits show, and adding the clock gadget in your preferences for one-click purging in the future. --an odd name 05:01, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Name spelt incorrectly

In a listing where my name was included in an exhibition amongst several other artists, it was misspelt. Kindly correct the spelling. Thank you

WT Jersey

Hi Joel - WT has a 10 year commemorative jersey out this season, as well as the black/gold alternates from last year. Would you be able to add it to the gallery when you have time? [1] Many thanks!  florrie  01:29, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Sure, it shouldn't be to hard. I don't like the look of the Warriors trial jersey [2].  The Windler talk  01:33, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I'd wait on the Warriors one for a few weeks, because they played a trial the other week with a different version that didn't have the white sleeves.[3] They have a white away jersey [4] but the Toyota Cup team was playing in a new version of the grey away version the other day. So who knows what versions are going to be used this year! Mattlore (talk) 06:20, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
That's why I'm waiting until Round 4 before I upload anything, I have made a few jerseys based on trial games.  The Windler talk  06:26, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Melbourne Storm 2009 jersey

Hi there. I noticed you created the jersey images for Melbourne Storm's years. For 2009, we have a slightly different one with the lightning bolts being silver, rather than white.

Yes, but a slight difference like that, I won't change because to the naked eye, it pretty much the same. I'm not making a new jersey for every extremely slight difference there is.  The Windler talk  05:43, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Rugby League ITN

Hello,

Just wanted to let you know that the article, 2008 NRL Grand Final, was placed on the Wikipedia Main Page today! Obviously this means that the NRL Grand Final is now notable enough to not only warrant its own page but a spot on the Main Page! This being the case, do I now have our permission to begin work on the preceding Grand Finals? c4v3m4n (talk · contribs) 22:08, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Re: Saints' Songs deletion

I have nominated Saints' Songs., an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saints' Songs.. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  The Windler talk  21:18, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

If I put a main article headline above the Popular Fan Songs column on the St Helens RLFC page, would that be OK? From Ymron —Preceding undated comment added 13:37, 6 April 2009 (UTC).
No, it fails WP:NOT#LYRICS, which means no lyrics, this is an encyclopedia, not a collection of information, that is for example that website you referenced. Quite possibly, it shouldn't even be on the St. Helens article. If you want the article to stay, you need to provide material such as author, how they were created, when are they used with all independent, reliable sources meaning not a fan page, but a third party source. You may reply here if you want, I will watch.  The Windler talk  21:43, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
