November 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Tacyarg. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Afnan Ullah Khan, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Tacyarg (talk) 20:12, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Tacyarg yeah sorry i forgot to add the link yesterday Spartan Alpha (talk) 15:40, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've seen you have added it now. Tacyarg (talk) 19:02, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Tacyarg Yeah you welcome, btw are you very active contributor in Wikipedia? Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:14, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page again, as you did at Afnan Ullah Khan, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:23, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, that addition is related to the Arab/Israel conflict broadly construed, and is in violation of the extended-confirmed restriction on such edits. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:28, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ScottishFinnishRadish How is that unsourced, i literally added 2 links into it, there is many news report about it, did i must add all those link from those news article
Also, that person is literally justifying holocaust which killed 6 millions jews Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:28, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Neither the New York Post or the Daily Mail are acceptable sources for contentious BLP content. Also, as I mentioned, as this is clearly related to the conflict between Palestine and Israel you cannot make edits about it. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:32, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

@ScottishFinnishRadish So an unregistered user can freely edit those topics while I'm an registered user can't?
if you geolocated that unregistered person who keep reverting my edit, that person if from Pakistan and it is very clear that he is trying to protect that Pakistani senator who is justifying a holocaust
before me there were 2 other registered people, 1 person with username Aquila89 which has over a thousand edit also making a edit about that senator tweet and the resulting backlash but were reverted by that unregistered person Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:42, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Spartan Alpha, the block is about your behavior, not others'. While you are blocked, please focus on that. You can do so in an unblock request (see the explanation in the orange/red box below). That you still have access to this page here is primarily meant to allow you to submit such a request, not to continue using Wikipedia as a battleground, for example by attempting to determine their suitability for editing Wikipedia by their location. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:44, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ToBeFree I don't see the need to submit such request

now i see Wikipedia is such biased place to be in Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:51, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I'am from Pakistan. But that has no relevance in this discussion. You are simply in violation of WP:BLP and WP:RS. 182.183.46.44 (talk) 13:46, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for using Wikipedia as a battleground.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:33, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ToBeFree Blocking me will not solve the issues, justifying holocaust is bad Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:43, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I do think blocking solved a severely noticeable issue. You fortunately didn't explicitly do so in your message, but please be warned that accusations of holocaust justification are severe personal attacks, and making personal attacks can lead to the block being expanded to include this page here too. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:46, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ToBeFree instead arguing with me here why you don't go search it on your own?, severe personal attack? he literally tweeted it himself and even after being pressured to delete the post by so many people he decided keep it, the tweet then was removed by twitter because it violated their rules Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:48, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
When I refer to "personal attacks", I mean those against other editors of Wikipedia. Your article edits have been undone for other reasons explained in the November 2023 section at the top of this page. If you believe that the block is unnecessary, you can request an unblock. If you don't, please stop arguing. We won't make a content decision about the article here; your behavior is the discussion topic. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:52, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ToBeFree Those editor are not even registered and you say my behavior is the discussion topics, i think it is pretty normal when you see people justifying holocaust and get outraged
I do believe the block is unnecessary since it is a fact that he tweeted that tweet which results in backlash Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:56, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Who is "people" in your sentence? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:57, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ToBeFree that Pakistani senator and that unregistered person from Pakistan who keep reverting my edit and Aquila89 edit Spartan Alpha (talk) 13:58, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You had been sufficiently warned against the latter. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:59, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
