Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Jack Ball (footballer, born 1900) article, and I couldn't find one either. The additions you made to the Fred Wheldon article are pretty well copy-pasted from the biographical details at his page on Vintage Footballers. Apart from we're not allowed to copy-paste or closely paraphrase content off our sources for reasons outlined above, that particular site does exactly that. You'll notice that the cricket content on that page was copied from the Wikipedia article: the content was added here in 2005, and the Vintage Footballers site wasn't set up until 2014. Fred Wheldon

PS, I've just seen your minor warning about copyright of text above. Please double/triple check that any content you have added has not been directly copied, otherwise the whole exercise is a waste of time and it will likely be removed at some point down the line. You have to re-phrase and reference, as with any scholarly work, plagiarism is frowned upon. Mountaincirque^talk 10:01, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi, appreciate this. The page has changed now, with an infobox. I’ve only been on here a few months, not sure yet how to add them or I would have inserted one. As for your PS, I do exactly that. I don’t write straight onto the article now, I write my own version first, check it then it goes into the article. I have written and added career info to a few player’s pages since, with no repeats. Jimmy Greaves

When I checked the line with 268 goals in 381 appearances in total, a club record the source given shows 1 - Jimmy Greaves - 1961-70 - 266 goals in 379 appearances.
