Thank you! Am I right that this is a dialect of Bhubaneswar or some other place? --Koryakov Yuri (talk) 12:17, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oriya is not a dialect but is a prime language, spoken in the Indian state of Orissa. Bhubaneswar is the capital city of Orissa.

Creating an article- "Acharya Habba"[edit]

User:MikeLynch/Lynch7 already responded more thoroughly than I could have. As he said, it comes down to having significant coverage by independent sources. The general standard for all articles is WP:Notability. Maybe it'd be better to talk about the Acharya Habba inside another article.   Will Beback  talk  20:41, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Acharya Habba was well covered by the media in Bangalore, India. Hence I feel, there won't be any problem regarding its notability.

Here are some few links :

Sourav Mohanty (talk) 16:31, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Most of those are not really independent publications, but are simply user content sites where someone has uploaded info about the festival. But there are several good sources in there: [1][2][3] Rather than starting out as a standalone article, I suggest you begin by adding more material to Acharya Institute of Technology#Acharya Habba, which currently has just one sentence. After it's developed then it's easy to split it off as a separate article.   Will Beback  talk  00:21, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah sure, I will work on that soon.

Your request for rollback[edit]

Hi Souravmohanty2005. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 21:43, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aloha!

Happy Halloween![edit]

Vibhijain has given you some caramel and a candy apple! Caramel and candy-coated apples are fun Halloween treats, and promote WikiLove on Halloween. Hopefully these have made your Halloween (and the proceeding days) much sweeter. Happy Halloween!

Bhubaneswar copyedit[edit]

Dear Sourav Mohanty,

I have observed that you are quite interested in editing pages related to Odisha. The Bhubaneswar page currently lies in shambles and need heavy copyedits and information. I would request you, if possible try to edit the article to make it in a proper state. Thanks in advance. Amartyabag TALK2ME 08:37, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It will be my pleasure to work on the Bhubaneswar article. Let's work together and improve the article. Thanks ! Sourav Mohanty (talk) 12:06, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your e-mail[edit]

Firstly: Why exactly? Secondly: I don't have a Facebook account, so no. —Nightstallion 12:57, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since you stay in Austria, I would like to know more about the education there and the scopes of Mechatronics Engineering(my major) and Artificial Intelligence in Europe. Sourav Mohanty (talk) 13:11, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Don't really know much about mechatronics, though I imagine some of the Fachhochschulen offer courses in that. AI isn't really offered anywhere in Austria AFAIK, you should try Germany for that. —Nightstallion 13:26, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MSRIT Page[edit]

Hi Sourav,

I see that you've gone through the MSRIT wiki page and tagged multiple issues. I agree almost completely on all of them :) I'm going through the page and adding in as many citations as I can. That said, I have a couple of questions:

  • Would the MSRIT website itself be considered a valid source for citations? Most of the info is from there, so if that's not valid then I don't know how else to cite.
  • You tagged that some cleanup/layout change was needed. Any suggestions on what kind of cleanup you're looking for? If you have an example of a better kind of layout to aim for (for a college website), that would be ideal.

Cheers, Srikanthnv (talk) 01:16, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah sure, you can cite the MSRIT webpage as a source. :) Thanks, Sourav Mohanty (talk) 04:06, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Souravmohanty2005. You recently applied for a Wikimedia IRC cloak, but it looks like you forgot to register your nickname first. Could you please log on to IRC and do:

/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>

where <password> is a password of your choice and <email> is your e-mail address? After you do that, please follow the instructions that are e-mailed to you to confirm your e-mail address. When you're done with that, I just need you to confirm your cloak request:

/msg MemoServ send wmfgc IRC cloak request

After you finish all of that, I'd be happy to get you a cloak. :-) If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my Meta talk page. Barras talk 17:55, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
