Dear Sophiakorichi, thank you for your compliments about my profile, and also for the book suggestions, I will be sure to look out for those books. I assume you're referring to my More Boxes page -- take a look at the last box... ;-) BlastOButter42 21:27, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, well, I guess that's what comes from being a Recent Changes patroller and reverting a lot of vandals, who get pissed at me... it's really a thankless job. But I like doing it. BlastOButter42 22:54, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Still trying to figure that out myself ;-) BlastOButter42 23:51, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Don't hold your breath, though. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 00:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
BlastOButter is (or was, I'm not sure) a brand of popcorn, and I just thought it sounded silly. I (of course) deduced from there that it would make a great screenname for AIM, and then I used it for my email address and Wikipedia, and it has stuck.
And all of this begs the question, why are you afraid of mushrooms? -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 00:18, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User Boxes[edit]

Thanks again for the comment on my talk page. I hope you don't mind, but I copied a couple of userboxes from your page. You can grab some of mine if you want (did you see the Spider-man box I made?). ~~ Ben 10 23:27, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nadira[edit]

Hi Sophiakorichi, your article for Nadira is pretty good, though I would personally edit down the Role in Skybreaker section, as it is pretty much a summary of the entire book. Also, if you're going to mention the ending of the book, you really should also put up a spoiler warning so as to not ruin the ending for those who haven't read it yet. Phil 13:57, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you need to put in a spoiler warning, take a look at these by hitting edit for this page: {{Spoiler}}
When the spoiler is over you use this: {{Endspoiler}}

Yup, this is the original quote. Boy Meets World featured a simplified version of it. This very same quote ends up in a lot of places in a lot of ways, I guess.

Just wondering, where'd you come across my username? I'm always curious as to how Wikipedians stumble across each other...

Thanks for dropping by on my talk page:) xC | 06:24, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reading[edit]

Hello. I haven't read the Seventh Tower yet; I tried to read the Ragwitch, but found it rather frustrating. I'm currently reading Harry Potter through, having just finished Trudi Canavan's Age of the Five trilogy. Do you recommend the Seventh Tower?

RE: Userboxes[edit]

Thanks for the comment! Fantasy does rock, huh? I like your userboxes, too, but after seeing them, I think I need more on my page... -wanders over to Userbox page- - Psyche825 (talk) 18:27, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't read many fantasy books (my userboxes are the only ones I've read), but my favourite is The Silmarillion. I also really like the Song of Ice and Fire series. What're your favourite fantasy books?
I also liked Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. Other than fantasy, I like to read classic books (which I consider to be basically anything you'd read in school).
I've read the first Artemis Fowl book; it was pretty good, but I haven't read any more. What fantasy books (that aren't in my userboxes) would you recommend?
Psyche825 (talk) 01:24, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My favourite would be A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Some other good ones are The Great Gatsby, The Winter of Our Discontent, Jane Eyre, and Ethan Frome.
Psyche825 (talk) 19:54, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, Jane Eyre is Austen-like. The other two are good, if sad. I'll be sure to look up the books you recommended, too (as soon as I finish my summer reading books).

Twilight[edit]

No WAY! I absolutly LOVE that book (and Edward too for that matter...). I got my sister and my mom to read them and they love them too. We're going to buy Eclipse in a couple of days, and I can't wait to read it. The thing I think is coolest about Stephenie Meyer is that she's LDS, like me! Stephenie is also going on tour for Eclipse and is visiting a lot of places for the tour, you should check it out if you like Twilight.  Bella Swan(Talk!) 12:44, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, on Stephenie's website it does have a list of who she thinks should play the characters in the movie, and for Bella I definitley think it should be Emily Browning, but I thought Edward should definitley have been Henry Cavill, but I don't know now that she said he's too old... My friend took a trip to Idaho and she was able to buy Eclipse before me and I'm soooooo jealous! She said she'll ket me borrow it as soon as she gets back though. :)  Bella Swan(Talk!) 01:42, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have just changed my vote, those were the BEST Edward pics I have EVER seen!!!!!I'm going to e-mail them to my other freind and see what she thinks! Bella Swan 23:02, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a complete obsseser of books as well (my most horrible acheivement being that I read HP7 in 7 hrs.) and I tried to load the trailer but a.) It would only take 2 mins. but I got impatiant and b.)It's in Spanaish w/ only subtitles so I wasn't that crazy about it. I didn't know Gaspard was French (I should have known: hence the name) which is kind of sad b/c unless he can speak English w/ no accent, I don't think he'll be a very good Edward. :( He still looks great tho. ;) Bella Swan 23:23, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would love to work on the pages (they really need it) but unfortunatly the horror called school is returning tomorrow and I'll have limited time on...but I'll try my best!  Bella Swan(Talk!) 21:40, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Quite honestly, "cruel and unusual punishment" only begins to cover my and most other people's feelings on the topic.... Bella Swan 22:10, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If Gaspard can speak english with no accent then he's my first choice. If he can't, then I'll have to agree with Meyer's website and say the Tom Sturridge would be my next choice. Bella Swan 19:58, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sophiakorichi 22:20, 2 September 2007

Well, I used these neat templates {{Userboxtop}} and {{Userboxbottom}} to stack them all and keep them all together. You should decide how to categorize your userboxes, and then you can use those templates to organize them into stacks under those categories. It explains at Template:Userboxtop how to use it; basically, you just put
{{userboxtop|"Title of stack"}}, then all the userboxes you want in that stack, and then {{userboxbottom}} at the bottom. -- BlastOButter42 See Hear Speak 23:07, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Twilight Series Help[edit]

I did some work on Jacob Black in the Eclipse section; what do you think? (Don't ask me why I started with Jacob; it was completely random) Bella Swan 20:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Really, I think the Twilight book pages are very good, the only thing to do is check for occational vandalism and revert it. Really, Bella's page is horrendous. The Eclipse section is about one pathetic paragraph long. Since she's the main character, I think that's kind of sad. I won't even get started on Edward's page. It doesn't even have an Eclipse section. I've put it off too long. I need to do something about it (uggg...) I just don't like writing thing from scrtch very much, even if something is some sucky two paragraphs, I can work with it, but Bella's page is just the paragraph given in the cover of the book. Well, I guess I'd better get started; I'm ready! :) Bella Swan 23:00, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, really, you can have you pick, I'm sounding like a whining 2 year old - sorry :) I think I'll try to find some time to do Bella since she, at least, already has a section made. Bella Swan 11:14, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, if want me to, I might be able to fix your userboxes for you. Bella Swan 00:20, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There, how do they look?  Bella Swan(Talk!) 23:24, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eclipse[edit]

I don't like Tom Sturrige that much as an Edward either, but I must say that once he's older he might do very well with the part.  Bella Swan(Talk!) 11:20, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will agree with that one...but still, something just doesn't click about him like it does with Gaspard or anyone else...I guess it's just because he's so young. By the way, are you going/have gone to any of Stephenie Meyer's book signings? Bella Swan 00:57, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm probably worse...I've been trying to get my userpage to look all pretty. (that will be up soon- see this) I haven't even started Bella's page. I amgoing to a book signing tonight though, and after that will get my userpage done and then concentrate on Bella's page. Bella Swan 11:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just came back from Barnes & Noble where I just waited in line for 45 minutes to get a wristband to get my books signed. (The things I do for Edward....) I'm back at my house and I'm going to get dressed up in my pretty green gown and curl my hair and then I'm off to the signing! By the way, they also had a ballot for who was better, Edward or Jacob, and I voted for Edward. Totally. Bella Swan 21:18, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know; I'm all Edward. Jacob's just way too obnoxious for me. But the best part of the signing was that I WAS 1 FOOT AWAY FROM HER!!!! She passed right by me as she went to enter the little are they had as a 'stage' at the book signing. I watched the Q+A, and she said that Breaking Dawn would be the last of the series from Bella's point of veiw. She also said that she has rough sketches of fifth and sixth books. I also got my younger sis and my mom to read the books so they came with me. My mom only stayed with me for a while b/c she had to take care of my bros and sis. Plus the fact that she was surrounded by about 150 screaming teenage girls kinda deterred her too- I was one of those screaming fangirls. :) I loved just sitting at the cafe in the B+N and reading Eclipse again while drinking apple cider- It's highly reccomended, but I would do it when B+N isn't that packed. That would be better. I never did figure out who won the Edward vs. Jacob contest, tho we bothe already know who won. ;) Bella Swan 23:54, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HP[edit]

Honestly, I don't think she made Dumbledore's character with the idea of him being gay. She was probably made itup on the spot, or had thought of it earlier. I really liked J K Rowilng's writing, but I really think she just wanted to say something surprising and new about the series, so she came up with this. I actually find it kinda sick that she would take such a great character and essentially ruin the idea of Dumbledore and all he stood for. ~ Bella Swan 16:19, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need to swear, I believe you, and where did you say almost my exact words? ~ Bella Swan 01:53, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I said it to my mom too, but I didn't exactly yell it. I think I was still kinda in shock. Oh yeah, have you finished any of the Pendragon books yet? ~ Bella Swan 15:05, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just so you know one of them (the one about Cloral, maybe the 3rd one?) I got stuck at a part where I didn't want to read it anymore, but I eventually finished and kept reading and they were really good. So if you get stuck like I did, then keep reading. :) ~ Bella Swan 19:55, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I guess it's my new fad too. :) My freind and I made a deal, I buy the 7th book, she buys the 8th. I bought it and am reading it. Have you checked out Wikipedia's article on the books? There all really bad. :S ~ Bella Swan 18:49, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Deal. I think I'm going to start with the main article, and possibly create a wikiproject for it....it might take a while tho. ~ Bella Swan 12:22, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Check it out. I've created a whole other article to add all the teritories to, and I have an infobox done. Now comes the really hard part....GRAMMAR!!!! *play scary music* Yeah, that and the fact that I haven't really corrected or added any actual facts.... ~ Bella Swan 00:02, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, well, grammer is VERY scary. I think it's partly because of my English teacher, she scares me more than grammer. (if that's possible...) ~ Bella Swan 14:51, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guess what? Due to a soccer game, I have really sprained my arm. I tried to head a ball, tripped, and landed on my hand. Great, huh? I'll have limited editing just so you know. (in case your waiting forever for me to reply....) ~ Bella Swan 02:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:17, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Hi Sophiakorichi!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! The article Kate de Vries has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable character, no secondary sources, no notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
