Image tagging for Image:TDlogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TDlogo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

License tagging for Image:HTCTyTN.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HTCTyTN.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:08, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Goths[edit]

Hi! Is your list of Victorian Gothic qualities based on a source or is it something you just wrote off the top of your head? And what is the distinction between Victorian Gothic qualities and general Gothic qualities (which are listed in the intro)? Have you got a reference which explains the distinction? User Category for Discussion[edit]

Hello, Smashman2004. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Hot fuzz.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Smashman2004. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 08:09, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A template you created, Template:Datecountdown, has been marked for deletion as a deprecated and orphaned template. If, after 14 days, there has been no objection, the template will be deleted. If you wish to object to its deletion, please list your objection here and feel free to remove the {{deprecated}} tag from the template. If you feel the deletion is appropriate, no further action is necessary. Thanks for your attention. --MZMcBride 18:02, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:TDlogo.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:TDlogo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih (talk) 03:26, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Buczy[edit]

A tag has been placed on Buczy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. --Darkwind (talk) 12:24, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. He asked me to add it. I did, but told him it's likely to be deleted. Please do so. Smashman2004 (talkcontribsemail) 12:25, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:BuczyLogo.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:BuczyLogo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 07:50, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting all pages[edit]

You could get a bot to delete all pages (in which case I would recommend creating a Peachy script), but an easier option might be to use mw:Extension:DeleteBatch. Just get a list of pages you want to delete, perhaps using the API. E.g., http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=allpages&aplimit=500&apnamespace=0&apfrom=Strawberry and then paste the results into a spreadsheet and use the text-to-columns function, with quotation marks as a delimiter. That will put all the page titles in their own column, from which you can just copy and paste into Special:DeleteBatch. Maybe tweak some settings like $wgAPIMaxDBRows, $wgAPIMaxResultSize, etc. if you want to be able to increase the number of results you get at one time from the API (the default max is 5000).

If you don't have FTP access to the system the wiki is hosted on, then I guess you're stuck using 500 or 5,000 API results at a time, and using a bot rather than DeleteBatch, unless someone wants to install that extension and give you access. I'm thinking the approach one would want to take is having a script read page titles from a file and then hitting the Page::delete() function to delete each page. Heck, this is so easy, I might as well do it. Here, I just did it. Check this out: http://compwhizii.net/peachy/wiki/Manual/DeletePages Tisane talk/stalk 17:19, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — This, that, and the other (talk) 07:06, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think you sent this to the wrong person. I may have created that page once, 12 years ago, but I've had no hand in its recent creation. That honour goes to User:Espresso Addict. Smashman2004 (talkcontribsemail) 15:08, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, no I misunderstood. Turns out a page that I have no memory of was still kicking around since 2010. Amusing. Yeah I've no qualms with its removal. Smashman2004 (talkcontribsemail) 15:10, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
