Image copyright problem with Image:Cimage.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cimage.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 02:45, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of MapMonkeys[edit]

A tag has been placed on MapMonkeys requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Travistalk 03:48, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Mays[edit]

Hi Slugger. Please do not revert my edits without explanation. Your wording is not supported by the source. If you disagree, please discuss on the talk page instead of starting an edit war. Thanks. Timmeh 16:36, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, sorry. I didn't see the second source you added. Timmeh 16:38, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Now I see why there was a misunderstanding. Your edit summary did not explain that, in addition to reverting my edit, you added another source. Don't forget to explain things like that in your future edit summaries. Happy editing. Timmeh 16:58, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Hansnaumannonlake.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Hansnaumannonlake.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 03:24, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
