Fair use rationale for Image:Comarch-logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Comarch-logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Your deletion of fair-use rationale for Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics[edit]

You deleted the fair-use rationale I wrote for the use of Image:Minerva logo.gif in the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics article. I took considerable care in writing that rationale, and I would prefer that you do not delete it again.

The rule is that each separate use of an image must have its own fair-use rationale, so if you want the use of the Minerva logo in the Max Planck Society article to continue, you will have to write a fair-use rationale for that article in a separate section, leaving alone the rationale I wrote for the use in Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics.

Additionally, please note that a fair-use rationale can be written with or without a template such as the nfur-template; both styles are equally correct; using a template is not a requirement. There is also no preferred wording. Please reply here to keep the thread of conversation in one place. Thanks, - Neparis (talk) 00:55, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please excuse me, but Image:Minerva logo.gif is a logo of Max Planck Society. Notice the writing that says Max-Planck-Gesellschaft which translates from German as Max Planck Society, and indeed was copied from the http://www.mpg.de website, which is the official website of the Max Planck Society. You can find the logo of Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics here. Thus, your attribution was completely wrong. I believe that the fair use of Minerva Logo might be attributed solely to the Max Planck Society article. Unfortunately, someone created a huge bunch of articles about individual Max Planck Institutes using this logo in each of them. Please, correct the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics article by adding the correct logo and revert your invalid rationale to the one I supplied. Thanks! Sliwers (talk) 11:47, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please accept my apologies. It's my fault for not checking the logo was correct. I have reverted to your edit, and corrected the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics article. Thanks for pointing it out, and also for being so polite instead of yelling at my mistake. - Neparis (talk) 16:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MPI Neuro Logo.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MPI Neuro Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. You must add sources to Aleksander Wolszczan[edit]

I think the article is much better with the information you added, instead of the "gazetta wrote" that I put earlier. However, this is a very hard accusation on a living person and it can not stand like it is now without any reference. I will revert your edit, an please put your edit back in with the sources that he has admitted.

Ekhem[edit]

Balcerowicz was member of the communist party(applied year after 1968 March events btw) and worked in Institute of Marxism and Leninism Problems , Sikorski is widely regarded as working for British and American intelligence during his stay there. Regards :)--Molobo (talk) 20:26, 20 September 2008 (UTC) PS:Also see Undue Weigh rule. Basically the information needs to be in proportion to the article. Right now there is more to this simple act of declaring loyalty then to his decades of science work.--Molobo (talk) 20:31, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And the difference between applying to the party before large antisemitic riots and explusion of thousands and after is also something to consider. As to Kuroń and Geremek-Kuroń was active and dedicated communist even if he disagreed with Party and his views changed, Geremek's case was never solved completely and it is not definite if he cooperated or not...If you are into this, you likely know that many files were destroyed, hidden, manipulated to this or other result.--Molobo (talk) 20:46, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
