A tag has been placed on Triphosphate, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This redirect is wrong; triphosphate is neither equal to deoxyguanosine nor is it mentioned there. Please don't mind!

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Yrwyddfa (talk) 10:16, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Skysmith! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 5 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 940 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Liz Carmichael - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Seamus McSporran - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Your lists[edit]

I've been doing a bit of work on your lists but I've found a few entries that are obviously spelling mistakes, e.g. Alex Issonis for Alec Issigonis and Alex Mounton for Alex Moulton. Shall I make them into redirects or would you rather delete them? Biscuittin (talk) 20:06, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hmm. I'd rather delete them if you can point them out to me, editing the pages in question, for example - Skysmith (talk) 07:43, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Long time no see! + Qn/Help.[edit]

Hey there Skysmith. Hope things are going well with you both on Wikipedia and in real life. :)
Anyhow, I wanted to divert your attention to this as background reading: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Missing_encyclopedic_articles#The_Global_Names_Index:_A_missing_encyclopedic_list_makers_dream_.28or_nightmare.21.29.3F. Now you do not need to chip in on the discussion if you don't want to but I was showing you that so then I can ask you something as it will make more sense. So since you have made many lists previously I was wondering how you went about doing it in an automatic fashion (I would dread/hate to find out that you did all of your lists manually (i.e. if you got a list consisting of a donkey, horse, zebra and camel, you manually copy/pasted the word horse, zebra, camel etc, added the [[ ]] between each, did the formatting yourself and then added in the {{search}} button next to each word for us to then easily search)). Considering the amount of lists you have and the frequency that you update them, it would have been quite intense editing. So I was wondering if you happened to do it in a more automatic fashion (i.e. obtain list from somewhere, automatically format it all) if you could direct me as to how to do it, or if you are not too busy to do it for me? I only intend do one letter and only want to try the first few 3 letter combos to begin with (since the letter A would most likely contain 1 million entries in of itself!). Also, I intend to do this in the assumption that no one in the above discussions has any large objections for me doing so. I have a feeling many would be easily removed (i.e. species/genus name with name of person who described the species does not need a redirect but to be filled out on the article and add in the refs manually) and add redirects to any other cases. Each name has a reference as well so that is all very useful and perhaps can be added in in addition to the {{search}} button. Anyway, I hope the above makes sense and if not, ask again and I will try and be a bit more coherent. My hope is that I can work on this manually starting from A and go from there (add references, add redirects, add notes to articles I can not complete, fill in taxoboxes on already created articles etc.) with anyone else joining in as a bonus. Kindest regards.Calaka (talk) 08:46, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there Skysmith. Oh that is no problem, I didn't mind the delay hehehe, I understand that Wikipedians are not necessarily on Wikipedia all the time. Ahh and darn that is some dedication man! Good on you for going through it all manually. Yeah I guess when you made these lists up a while ago it might have been a bit more difficult and plus that you got the sources from books rather than the internet. Aa regards to that species topic I mentioned in the link above, I managed to get Raul to take a look through it and he used some sort of script/program to get all the names out! Funny thing was that it took him an hour to do the entire list but it only did the first page of every 3 letter link. The total count would take close to a day haha! So incredible. Anyway, thanks again and I hope everything is going great. Kind regards.Calaka (talk) 13:53, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re Missing Articles about Psychology[edit]

Re Missing psychologists, a look at a couple of them found that they already have an article listed under two names only without their middle name; see Arthur Jensen and Carl Hovland. PS: Carl may be Carl Iver Hovland or Carl Ivor Hovland; made redirects from both, and there is also a redirect from Carl L. Hovland! PS: I was putting in a "see also" from Henry Murray to the New Zealand athlete of that name. Hugo999 (talk) 00:42, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I started this article. What do you think? Bearian (talk) 13:00, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Other articles needed[edit]

Thats a good list you have put together and I have added it to my list of things to watch. I wanted to let you know that I also maintain a list of articles that are needed in relation to the American Medal of Honor. The red links on this page reflect all the Medal of Honor recipient articles that are still needed. Also there are quite a number of Ships that are still needed as well. I am not sure what the scope of your list is but I thought I would let you know. --Kumioko (talk) 15:27, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Prince of Wales Royal Canadians[edit]

They're on your missing list but I think they have an article - 100th (Prince of Wales's Royal Canadian) Regiment of Foot, needs expanding though. NtheP (talk) 16:06, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Missing articles about Locations[edit]

I saw your post and took a quick peak. There are (I presume) a number of errors in the Scotland section e.g. Asynt for Assynt. Would you like me to list them here, fix them there....? 17:44, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

You can fix them in the page - Skysmith (talk) 08:39, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Missing topics about vehicles[edit]

Where did the link selection come from? My particular interest is steam engines / vehicles and I see two entries L'Obeissante and Trevthich horseless carriage which would seem to be covered by Amédée Bollée#L'Obeissante and Richard Trevithick#The London Steam Carriage (or another of his creations), respectively. Apart from writing the missing articles, I don't see what I'm supposed to do about this list. Do I add comments for these, or what? -- EdJogg (talk) 11:29, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have used many sources, including various books about various vehicles and, in the case of trains, books about engineering. You can add comments, create any redirects you see appropriate and write articles about relevant subjects. And if you see entries that really don't require an article, mention it in the page. Thank you. - Skysmith (talk) 11:47, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I wasn't sure you'd be happy about me throwing comments at the page, but I'll try to help a little. If your source had been WP articles, different (easier?) actions would have been needed. It's a useful-looking list. -- EdJogg (talk) 12:10, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Electronics[edit]

Shouldn't the electronics/electrical things be on a separate list? 70.29.208.247 (talk) 06:52, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's a thought, if you mean the Technology page (it is too long to begin with) - Skysmith (talk) 07:42, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, I mean the physics list. There is a boatload of electronics terms on that page. Though, combining the tech and physics lists sections for electrics/electronics might be an idea for you to consider, as a separate page. 70.29.208.247 (talk) 11:23, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disease article creator[edit]

Hi, First thank you for the great list you are maintaining, I ve recently developed an input box that would help creating new diseases articles and stubs. Would you add it to the top of your page?? MaenK.A.Talk 11:48, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you :-), What changes you made?? this way this box will miss any update to that inputbox MaenK.A.Talk 16:04, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Type-cD galaxy[edit]

If you stub up Type-cD galaxy, I'll write an article at that location. As IP editors cannot create new pages, someone else will have to do that.

Just add an {{underconstruction}} and {{astronomy-stub}} to it, as well as your stub sentence/paragraph.

70.29.208.247 (talk) 05:33, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects from cD-type galaxy/cD galaxy/cD-galaxy, supergiant elliptical/supergiant galaxy/supergiant elliptical galaxy, central dominant galaxy/centrally dominant galaxy - will probably take care of some of your redlinks.

"missing topics" talk pages[edit]

FYI, you may want to watchlist all the talk pages of all the missing topics pages you have. 70.29.208.247 (talk) 05:39, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have. Still it seems I'm missing comments because my watchlist is long and I cannot be online 24 hours a day. Anything special you have in mind - Skysmith (talk) 06:30, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Speaking of missing topics, Skysmith , I finally have a response for you over at the WikiProject Physics talk page. I have also developed a solution. So come on over to the Wikiproject talk page and check it out. Hopeuflly you will like the solution.

Missing topics lists[edit]

Hi Skysmith. I've recently discovered that your list of missing topics is the best part of WP:Missing and as a result have provided you with quite a few blue links to delete. Most of them are redirects, although I've created a handful of articles as well. The majority are here and here, although there's a few others dotted about. I've also noticed a few (surprisingly few given the size of the lists!) errors, which I will update you on later. Moswento (talk) 08:11, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you - Skysmith (talk) 08:18, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Why did you revert this contribution [1]? --BozMo talk 11:06, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can see they are a bit aggressive in removing uncited material but otherwise fine. That contribution looked ok. You do not seem to have tried to engage them on talk. So what am I missing? --BozMo talk 11:10, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the IPs other contributions to the reference desk, it appears that I might have overreacted after he begun to remove material from articles - Skysmith (talk) 11:17, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, it happens. It looks to me that they might be worth engaging with. --BozMo talk 11:33, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! You list ACE mixture here: User:Skysmith/Missing_topics_about_Pharmacy#Anaesthetics. I did this article before I noticed your page, please feel free to add more information to the article, but just FYI. Best regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 22:30, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.

I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.

Thank you.

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:01, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to the Kesey article?[edit]

This one--why did you re-insert all the spelling/grammar errors that I had corrected/remove a fact tag that I had put in and started a discussion about on the talk page? 64.180.74.154 (talk) 15:30, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • To correct this cut:

"while the Grateful Dead was playing the song Dark Star, and he mentioned that Graham had paid for Jed's mountain-top memorial."

- Skysmith (talk) 07:49, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

(replying on my new account, instead of as an IP address) Does that merit re-inserting a bunch of other stuff that was obviously wrong (apostrophes for plurals, spelling mistakes, plus my putting in good wiki-links, etc)? It seems to me you went after the problem of the cut re: the memorial (which I agree should probably have stayed in...) with a rather blunt and heavy tool. not a great way to treat a new guy, IMHO. PaulFromMontreal (talk) 17:16, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No and that was an oversight on my part - Skysmith (talk) 06:49, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, and thanks for the welcome! PaulFromMontreal (talk) 07:01, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

American drama?[edit]

I can't find an article dedicated to American drama (not theater/theatre). Is there one under a different name, or does it need to be created? Thanks, Aristophanes68 (talk) 00:35, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I cannot seem to find an equivalent, either - Skysmith (talk) 08:37, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • I can't find a "Russian drama" or "French drama" article either, so I'm wondering if it's better to start a new one or simply to expand the Theater of the United States article--though there is an English drama article. (It seems that the American literature editors aren't convinced it belongs in their article....). Aristophanes68 (talk) 14:54, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
      • Update: I'm going to start by expanding the Theater of... article; I went ahead and redirected American Drama there. Thanks, Aristophanes68 (talk) 20:44, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    • I was informed about the auction via the news letter and actually place a bid on one of her guitars.
