Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Is the glass half empty or half full? are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 05:45, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

No problem.

There's something weird about copying and pasting from the edit differences page. I have to fix my problem on the talk page we have been discussing. Quot homines tot sententiae: suo quoique mos. (talk) 13:13, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my User page!--gordonrox24 (talk) 00:27, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Pedro Menendez High School

I will presume that you made your accusation of vandalism against me on my user talk page simply because you weren't able to take the time to review the chain of edits. (I have nearly wrongly accused others myself so I do understand how it can happen). If you look more closely you can see that it is I who was reverting the vandalism. Furthermore, if you look at the page that you reverted to, you can see that it is still full of vandalism, "random latin phrase" "founded 20BCE", "soviet republic of California". Finally, someone had added the phrase "protestant killer" several months ago ... which, I learned after reading the relevant wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedro_Menendez , is somewhat true but clearly not language appropriate to wikipedia, language I attempted to make more npov.

I am sure this is an honest mistake on your part but I would also appreciate that you recognize this and acknowledge it on my own user talk page. Again, I do understand how this can happen in the heat of reverting but please acknowledge this. Many thanks in advance! BobKawanaka (talk) 01:59, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Sitethief: I agree. You (still) owe Bob an explicit apology for grossly mischaracterizing his edits as vandalism. I have no opinion on whether Menendez's holy war actions are OT, but perhaps you feel too strongly about it to be able to edit while maintaining article NPOV. In any case, they are no excuse for your vandalism accusation.--Elvey (talk) 16:04, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
I apollogized on his Talk page. Sitethief~talk to me~ 16:46, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
I want to add, when I reverted I only saw this I did not see the other edits. I only saw the addition of the 300 protestants bit. I agree in hindsight that I was wrong in reverting it as vandalism and therefore marking it as vandalism. Again, my apologies for that. Sitethief~talk to me~ 16:53, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Warned for editing my own post?

So, here's the timeline: I post something on Fyyer's talk page, since I don't know how to send a message on wikipedia. It deals with Fyyer reverting an edit I made, which Fyyer then agreed was necessary. So I went and changed my post (again, don't know how to message on wikipedia), and I get warned for vandalism when I was simply trying to remove my complaint (as it had been dealt with). Please explain to me how editing my own post so that it is no longer outdated is vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.37.244.28 (talk) 19:22, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

It's OK, he just made a mistake as well. Sometimes people trip over things. I removed the warning as I'm sure it was an accident.  Fyyer  19:24, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I think something went wrong with reverting somewhere. My apologies 72.37.244.2 and Fyyer. Sitethief~talk to me~ 19:27, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good. I'm not trying to take it personally or anything, I really am trying to be helpful when editing on Wikipedia. I was just confused by what was going on is all. Sorry to come off as antagonistic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.37.244.28 (talk) 19:29, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

AIV

Hi, thanks for your good work in combating vandalism, as here[1]. I can see you are using Huggle, but I don't know if you are confident in making a report to WP:Administrator intervention against vandalism. The vandal you reverted had just returned from a 3-day block for vandalism (including that very article) and a report to AIV was very much in order. No need to worry now, as I've made that report and an admin has blocked for 6 months. If you're unsure at all, please feel free to drop me a line and I'll help if I can. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 20:38, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Sikh Extremism in Europe

Hi, I seem to have typed very fast, when I said its 'not about Sikh Extremism', what I meant to say was it not purely about violent politics. I will change it. The section has been reverted by another editor who I agree with, but it was my typo error Morbid Fairy (talk) 22:58, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
