Okay, it looks like you've found the right tag in this edit but note the dates. If the image is from 1946 or later, it is still considered to be protected by copyright. You should go through your image uploads and start clarifying dates and licensing. Copyrighted images can be left with those alert tags, as they'll then be deleted as they should be - in a few rare cases, you may be able to make an argument per our non-free content rules as to why a particular copyrighted image should still be kept. Let me know if you have any other questions, but I should clarify that I'm not an expert on Chinese copyright issues. I can, at least, point you in the direction of some folks who may know more. Request reason:

The block decision was based on a non-neutral political stand. The alleged reason for blocking, i.e. "presentation of propaganda material for Chinese Communist Party and defaming the Dalai Lama", but without any evidence, is very similar to labeling any information against existence of "Weapon of mass destruction" in Iraq as "propaganda for Sadam Hussein" or "defaming President Bush". It is substantially blanking information that do not serve the interests of a particular political group. The decision violates the freedom of presenting a different point of views in the discussion page, which is necessary to make the article to be neutral, balanced and objective.

Decline reason:

My IP was permanently blocked by YellowMonkey, while I was trying to improve the article 2008 Tibetan unrest to a NPOV with balanced the information from both side of the conflicts[[1]]. For the following reasons, the block information is clearly based on a non-neutral political stand of the administrator who was involved in the previous edition of the article.

1) The alleged reason for the block is my quoted photograph in the discussion page[[2]], of peeled skins and skulls of Tibetan slaves under regime of the Dalai Lama. Mr. YellowMonkey, who blocked me permanently, claimed they are "Not reliable sources, just a Chinese Communist Party propaganda to defame the Dalai Lama". However, the some parts of the material are quoted from an American TV program as cited in the discussion page, that indicate similar information did not violate any law of defaming in US.

The reasoning is comparable to labeling any information against existence of "Weapon of mass destruction" in Iraq as "propaganda for Sadam Hussein" Some others deleted photographs about Tibetan slaves are indeed quoted from sources in China, but there is no rule in Wiki that information from a communist country should be banned. Banning the information is against the NPOV policy in Wiki, in fact, also violate the freedom of presenting information about the fact, therefore turn the article into a very non-neutral stand.

The blocking admin Mr. YellowMonkey did not even give any reason why he considers the material as fake information for defaming the Dalai Lama, while in the discussion page I responded all the points for questioning about how the information are verifiable. What he did is just like removing any information against existence of "weapons of mass destruction" under an excuse that the material would be "propaganda for Sadam Hussein" or "defaming President Bush"

YellowMonkey and his party comrades intentionally neglect my point that it should readers, but not the themselves to judge the reliability of information, instead destroy all of my information without even reading them carefully. This should be a clear indication that Mr. YellowMonkey is not protecting the quality of Wiki articles, but just misusing his position to block information that he personally does not want general public to see.

The event of the article is about a violence conflicts with a nature of controvers between different political stands. In fact both parties of the conflict invested huge resource for the opinion in this conflicts, currently the article is solely supporting one party, the Free Tibet Movement. The administrator who block me think my complementary information are propaganda from the other side, although I did not attempt remove any information, opinion and comments from his own side.

I think the block decision is for blanking information for interests of a single side of the conflict and most likely make the description of the fact distorted, other than for protecting the article for being neutral and objective. Also my chance to request arbitration is banned with the block.

2) During my contributing in the article, I never remove any information in previous version (that I think is quote un-neutral), but just add complementary information, including sources from western countries and China. with more than 15 verifiable sources cited[[3]]. Each time when I edit, I have written concrete reasons in the discussion page to explain why the new material balance the different POV and make the article neutral and closer to the fact.

However, the former editors always roughly remove all of the additive citations and information; usually under excuse that they did not see the relevance and reliability. Since they insisted that they only allow information from one side of the conflict appeared in the article, I concluded they have clearly political stand and tell them I am considering to request protection and arbitration. I was blocked at this point. It seems that the blocking admin don't hope my case to be reviewed by arbitration committee or anyone outside the disputation about this topic.

3) After my IP was blocked, I received a message that I committed personal attacking. However, I just pointed out the other editors who repeatedly remove my contributions are not neutral. The admin neglected the much stronger criticisms with very tough words toward me, my politeness all over the discussion, and also that my criticism was only for maintaining neutralization, focused on the article not the person.

Based on my comprehension that Wiki should be based on NPOV and does not serve for interests of any specific political group, I seek a chance that the decision be reviewed by an wiki officer who have no political interests and stand out in this conflict, perhaps unfortunately with patience for reading through the discussion (the parts after the "complementary material" section of the discussion page in the version before YellowMonkey,’s removing) [[4]] to see whether the editing war and block decision meet the Wiki policy of NPOV. I also hope some one could tell me how to inform Wiki arbitration committee under a blocked position, to let them check whether the administrator YellowMonkey, who blocked an editor not in his own stand, should hold their position.Sildroad (talk) 10:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

YellowMonkey is an Indian or a person with Indian origin. He is very radical and rude toward other wiki users. Typical behavior of his includes reverting other users edits without explanation.
