K. Hari Prasad - Deletion Review.

Hi Shrikanthv,

I would like to take your opinion on the deletion of the page K. Hari Prasad who serves as the president of india's largest healthcare chain, and is the pioneer of introducing the concept of emergency medicine in the country. I find it surprising that the president of Asia's largest healthcare provider, the apollo hospitals group cannot have a wikipedia page, despite all the references and supporting links being extremely credibile ones from national and international newspapers, and Google books.

Having said that, he is not just an anesthesiologist, he has been instrumental in bringing the emergency medicine concept to India, which has had a very positive impact on the healthcare system in this country on a macro-level . He is also the first doctor in the history of, not just this country, but outside Europe to be honoured with a fellowship of the College of Emergency Medicine, UK and the first in India to receive a fellowship of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine. In addition to this, he has also played Ranji Trophy cricket which is the highest level of national cricket in the country. Moreover, the very fact that he has been covered by numerous diverse media houses multiple times across various 5 different countries is an indicator of his stature and achievements.

I humble request you to revive this page, if not, please let me know why. Thank you so much!

You may simply Crtl+f "Hari Prasad" on any of the above links to check his designation and position. I have to mention that all the links are from India's leading daily newspapers.

The reason I'm insisting so much is, he has pioneered the concept of emergency medicine in India, and is heading Asia's LARGEST integrated healthcare provider, the Apollo Hospitals group. Therefore I believe it is a must for a wikipedia page to exist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiasian2408 (talkcontribs) 07:32, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi Please check your talk pageShrikanthv (talk) 08:11, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Pseudoscience is pseudoscience

S - the key point is that these topics of interest fail to contain science references that meet the higher standards Wikipedia requires for medical/health topics. See WP:MEDRS for description, but basically publications in journals of good scientific reputation that are either reviews, systematic reviews or meta-analyses, resting on human trials evidence. You see the same editors' names because these people (me included) individually, and in no way in a coordinated manner, support evidence-based medicine over healthcare practices that cannot pass same. David notMD (talk) 15:40, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi David , is this some kind of biting ? , Please not I accept the results of RFC and not pushing against something which was decided on consensus, as may be you have already seen I would rather better use my head somewhere else. and if you want to discuss specific details on the topic nothing against you personally I see no use in discussing as you are trying to defend a rigid notion (may be it forms the basis of your view) and unfortunately this discussion will not bring about new insights into the topic of discussion. --Shrikanthv (talk) 07:26, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Do You have vested interest in hiding facts?

You have edited following facts: "After the War of Independence 1857 the English government had realized that their policy to rule by force was no longer beneficial in India. Thus, they tried to win the support of the Indian people. Several promises were made by the government that the Indians will, from now onward, also be a part of political affairs in their country and that they will no longer be treated as mere slave/masses but as citizens.

During these circumstances an ex English CSP officer named Alan Octavian Hume came up with the idea of forming a political party, of the Indians and for the Indians. For that purpose he met with senior English bureaucrats and with their guidance, along with local Indian contribution a political party was formed in 1885. It was called the All Indian National Congress. Its first president was an Indian and Mr. Hume was its first general secretary. On 28th December 1885 the first session of the Congress was held with 72 members."

I know that in order to hide these facts someone will try to delete this talk/edit it to be politically correct. It is politically beneficial for congress party to hide the fact that it was founded by British empire (through Alan Octavian Hume) with their vested interest. Hence either they will edit words to make it a senseless point.

I personally feel the facts are important to add to the page. I think the revert of my edit is not justified because it will not improve the article and will not conform with WP:lead. You should think twice in similar situations. Nothing will change, More you hide ... more will be highlighted in many online sources. Nothing can be hidden forever.

Please prove that historical facts are not true if you want to delete this talk as per wikipedia policies.Deletion of this talk won't change history. Truth will come out again & again in books, literature & historical munuments.

If you edit again i will block you.

Best regards.

Rigveda

Hi, I happened to notice that you have some suggestions for rewriting Rigveda to include separate sections for Eastern and Western author interpretations. I would like to cooperate in any way I can. Please take a look at a recent edit I made about Rigveda time period which was reverted and the reason given was that Lokmanya Tilak is a fringe source and not reliable.

It is strange that Western authors on Rigveda are automatically taken to be reliable but a well known Indian like Tilak is considered unreliable? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks! ga11 (talk) 21:54, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Not automatically when Indian, but some Indian authors are well-known WP:FRINGE authors. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 02:48, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
eventhough Tilak is well known person also a freedom fighter, it is unfortunate that I have to agree with Joshua, may be it can be used as History source on presence of numerous interpretation ? , Personally not convinced on this either let us discuss this at the talk page Shrikanthv (talk) 05:55, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello Shrikanthv! Your additions to Integral yoga have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. Sacha Stone

Dear Shrikanthv, I noticed that you raised a number of serious concerns about a recently created article Sacha Stone. In particular you mentioned that you believe that the article violates core Wikipedia values, such as WP:SINGLEEVENT, WP:SOAPBOX and WP:SYNTHESIS. These are very serious concerns, especially on an article about a living person. I hope you can raise these concerns in the appropriate forum, which is the article's talk page and not an AFD discussion, which is the venue for notability discussions.

It will help if you are able to state specifically which section of the article violates which policy, for example you could point out that a specific paragraph or claim is unsupported by the source and is therefore an example of synthesis or original research. I have tried hard to avoid this error, but mistakes can be made and the article will be improved without any such unsourced claims.

I do not mean to quash the discussion, as discussing the notability of a newly created subject is perfectly appropriate, it's just that we have different venues for different kinds of discussion. --Salimfadhley (talk) 10:26, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
